Kari Lake is not a public official.  So this is not an example of bribery.
There are many examples of bribery out there.  It's inherent to the system because a candidate has to beg for money almost non-stop.  Only a fool would believe that individual gift of money never ever changed the candidate's opinions or priorities.  We even impose strict limits on what a candidate can receive, so the candidates turn around and create "separate" PACs that can receive more money and are "independent" from the candidate.  The money will find its way to the candidate.
The only possible thing that might improve the situation is stricter disclosure for the donors to these PACs.
