I'm in an older home and there is zero room in the attic. Also because of the hookup I have very little room to maneuver the modem. Trust me, I've done a lot of the stuff that you mention in my last house where I actually could move around in the attic. I've got a [BLEEP] ton of good coax still.

You could try a redneck kind of solution of getting a fairly long box, covering it with aluminum foil, and only having the ends of it open pointing toward your TVs. In theory it might help.

Edit: oh, and putting the router in the middle of that box, if it wasn't clear.
