MOVIES

Quote:I am too. I think Doctor Strange will bring an interesting dynamic to it that will, of course, eventually be seen in Infinity Wars.

The Hulk is supposed to be in Thor: Ragnarok as well.

Quote:I haven't. I think I have seen it on either Netflix or Amazon Prime Video. I need to check it out because I do enjoy him in the roles I've seen him in.

Yeah I would highly recommend it.

I was just going to post that!  Amazing.   I might actually break down and go to a theater if it comes here.

That does look good. I'm a sucker for quality WW2 films. There are so many stories to tell due to being fought by so many countries in different parts of Europe as well as the concentration camps and such. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was a good movie. Band of Brothers is my all time favorite.

I love WW2 movies as well, but I have nobody to watch them with.  My wife's dad was on the beaches at Normandy and she refuses to watch any war movies.  I took her to see Saving Private Ryan before I knew this and she said the movie was a pretty accurate portrayal of what her father described as happening that day.

I went to see the first showing on opening day in Orange Park and I was the only not WW2 age person in the whole theater. People went in looking forward to a good movie and came out looking shell shocked. I felt bad for them because they looked genuinely distraught. I remember seeing on the news how many Vets were actually experiencing a form of PTSD, like delayed PTSD.

Yesterday my niece and nephew and I watched Storks. It was o.k.. It dragged on quite a bit and meandered in the middle, but ultimately the ending kind of pulled it together. It wasn't the best animated film I've ever seen, but it was worth a watch.

I took my niece and nephew to see Sing tonight. It was one of the better animated films I have seen recently. It had a pretty solid story line and the animation was excellent. I'm really impressed by the singing of Reese Witherspoon and Scarlett Johannson in this movie. Both had excellent voices. I knew Reese could sing, because I saw her do it in Walk The Line, but I wasn't aware that Scarlett was so talented.

"Greater" was just released to DVD, etc.

I don't recall Brandon Burlsworth, but I really want to check this film out.

It's pretty creepy and disturbing.

The film itself has a foreign indie kind of vibe.

Do NOT watch it with your niece and nephew.

I've been waiting a long time to see this movie. It didn't even make it to our local theater. I'm glad you mentioned it. It's on Amazon so I think I'll have to check it out there.

I'm really into those types of foreign, extreme horror films. I love movies like Martyrs, Inside, A Serbian Film and many others. They just go to dark places that American filmmakers don't dare to touch.

I'm definitely not watching those types of films with the kids though. They only see animated films and Marvel movies. LOL.

I saw Batman vs Superman this weekend.  Not something I'd ordinarily watch but I thought it was ok for what it was.  The story was a little odd, I felt like I had come in at the middle of the movie and attributed it to missing one of the previous flicks in the franchise but somebody told me that's just the way they wrote it.  Wierd.  Special effects and production values were great but that's kind obligatory for a big budget blockbusters these days.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Then I'd say it was pretty good as far as those types of movies. I'm sure you'll like it.

When you see it let me know, I have a question.

There was a lot of dream sequency type stuff going on. I thought the same thing.
