Mayock's updated safety rankings:

Quote:

Safety

1. Damarious Randall, Arizona State

2. Landon Collins, Alabama

3. Shaq Thompson, Washington

4. Quinten Rollins, Miami (Ohio)

T-5. Alex Carter, Stanford

T-5. Jaquiski Tartt, Samford

This Alex Carter kid is an intriguing possibility to me.  Should be there in the third.

Eric Rowe, Byron Jones or Josh Shaw. I like these conversion CBs the best for free safety.

Jones would be great.  Have a feeling he goes late first round as a corner, though.

Rowe is probably a longshot to be there in the second round - but I'd like that pick. Mocked to the Pats at #32 by some.

Shaw in the third round would be a great get.

I could see Jones going as early as 20 to Philly. Would be a good get for the Jags in the second if he fell that far. Looks like an ideal free safety to me.
