The RB Situation

Olson and Bradley have both stated otherwise.

Quote:If the RB draft is as good as they say it is, you should be able to find a guy in the 4th that could have went 2nd round in another draft Or maybe find a guy in 5th/6th who'd normal go in the 3rd or 4th.
I dont really want a mid tier rb, id wait till next year and get an Elite one in Elliot. Unless one falls and the value is too good to pass up. Also depends on whats players are on the board when we pick

I think the Demarco Murray ship is gone. Heard he wants a deal worth up to 100 miion. Is he insane? No way a running back gets that type of cash. It's like they forget they're football players.

Trade back in the second round and grab another 4th and use the a 3rd or 4th on a back

Sounds like the jags are quiet for a bit after the press conference . 3 rd round in the draft would be nice

I think we definitely end up getting a RB in the mid to late rounds maybe round 2 but that depends on who falls from round one ect.

Unless the Jags trade back in round 1 and get an extra 2nd rounder, I would expect them to take a running back in round 3 or 4. My preference would be for a trade back in round 1 (if Williams goes to the Titans) and still get Ray, Beasley or Fowler.

Rounds 2 and 3: Take BAP at free safety, running back and linebacker with these 3 picks.

Hopefully they still end up with a quality back like Ajayi, Coleman, Abdullah or Johnson.

I didnt know he was available. Id rather have him than Gerhart but we already committed some money to Toby.

You can't fault him for trying.

Unless it's Gurley I will be real sad with any RB at 36. Heck, I would probably even be a little sad with Gurley at 36.

The 2nd/3rd tier of RB in this draft is extremely deep, take whichever one of them falls to the 4th...any of David Johnson, Javorious Allen, David Cobb, Jeremy Langford.

After seeing what we have done. First 3 rounds are LEO/FS/RB.

Like people have said, the RB position is deep in this draft. take 1 or, heck, even 2. This offense has to get going.

I like Langford.  Think he might go late in the third.

Yep, any of them could go day 2 easily. I like em all so just take the one that slips a little IMO.

i'm generally against taking any rb above the 3rd or 4th round but I would trade up into the back end of the first for gurley

despite them talent and depth in this class there is a reason that despite the acl he is still at the top of the pile

the kid is a special talent and has everything you want in an rb. Tough runner with breakaway speed.

treat him like colvin sit him rehab him and then bring him on kickoffs as a return man when he is healthy making him your feature back with denard the change of pace back for the last few weeks.

Please don't sign ANYONE. It's like buying a fancy car with a ton of mileage.

Best case scenario is that Demarco Murray signs with Oakland, then trade for Latavius Murray for a mid rd pick. He already knows Greg Olson's system and will be a beast.

Second best scenario is that Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon slides to rd 2. The four teams in front of us are fairly set at RB.

First off, For those of you saying we should start robinson or toby, u are crazy. They are both trash. Second nobody in free agenct is worth grabbing, Murray was a product of a phenomenal O-line, he is also turning 28, and we all know 30 is the death number for most RBs. It is not even a question that we DRAFT a RB. The RB class this year is stacked, i say we use the 2nd round pick... there still gonna have loads of talent that could slip to us (several if not all will be avaiable). Theres Melvin Gordan, Todd Girley and Coleman... i believe these three are instant starters and dynamic ones at that...Gurley to me is a future allstar, mark my words, i just hope hes available

David Johnson. AKA Arian Foster 2.0. He would be the prefect fit in our ZBS, he can already pass protect, and he has the best hands out of all the running backs in this class. He would be Blake's safety net. It doesn't hurt we got a first hand look at him in the senior bowl.
