While that was a huge step in signing a guy like him, there is still time for Detroit to sign him.

Yeah, it's still a strong possibility Detroit finds a way to get a deal done.  We'll see.  Sounds like the Jags will target him if a deal can't be done.  Could be a first day signing.

Yeah, if McCourty hits FA, he better be the top target. With promising corners in McCray and Colvin, you add McCourty and we have the potential for a no fly zone.

Trade down (if possible), to me, there isn't much of difference between the pass rushers that are projected to go in the top 10 compared to the guys that are projected to go in the latter portion of the 1st round, trading down makes sense from a value standpoint.

That would be a nightmare if we missed out on McCourty and he went there. I'm fine with missing on some targets, but for me McCourty is a must.

Yes, it's incredibly difficult to find a FS with McCourty's range, instincts, and smarts. The Jaguars need a stud FS to really make this defense work, that will allow Cyp to play closer to the LOS, where he should be a lot more effective.
