In case no one realized how huge yesterday's win was

Quote:Number of passing touchdowns. Beuerlein only had 4 tds as a Jag

So the Jags rookie record for TD passes in a season was only 4, held by Steve B?

I know the Jags haven't drafted many rookie QBs, but that is just a really really sad stat.

Just unbelievable.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

I don't think it was a rookie record for the franchise. I believe it was just Steve's Jag record that Blake has now passed. That's what I got from it. Unless I missed something else that happened on that play
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

No, it wasn't TD passes by a rookie, it was just TD passes, period. Beurlein threw 4 TDs in his short stint here in Jax (and I have to wonder how the hell he even threw 4) and Bortles passed him yesterday.

Because its an incorrect stat.

Leftwich threw 16 TDs his rookie year

Gabbert threw 12 TDs his rookie year

Quote:For the first time in a while it was the opposing fans leaving early. Dawg Pounded.

That was nice to see the orange fade to teal... There was an Cleveland fan from Tallahasse one row behind and several seats past me. He was chipper at first while amazed at the hospitality of we the Jaguars' fans. He complained that no beer was served within the fourth qtr... He left mid fourth qtr and it wasn't due to the lack of beer being served...

OH, it didn't sound right when he said it, but he did say record.

I guess it was just that BB passed Steve B on the total TD pass # as a Jag, but it wasn't any kind of record.

That sounds more like it.

The other guy was just ribbing Steve B about it, since he was an ex-Jag and calling the game.

Beer is not served during the fourth quarter at Cleveland Browns Stadium either because of the Bottle Game.

Yeah, I don't know why he said broke Steve B's record.

There was no record broken, BB just moved passed Steve B on the Jag's TD pass #.

4 TD passes was way to low.

I just didn't look it up, even though it didn't sound right.

Andrew Catalan loves to talk about how Steve Beuerlein used to be a Jaguar, obviously ignoring the fact that he was only on the team one season.

But that was not the worst thing he said yesterday. "Josh Scobee made six out of five field goals and one was blocked," takes the cake.

So the record for Jag rookie TD passes in a season is 16, by Leftwich.

I hate to ask, but what is the INT record for a Jags rookie?

Pretty sure Leftwich holds that record too. BTW Leftwich threw for 14 TDs his rookie year. He threw 16 INTs

Bortles needs just 89 yards to pass Quinn Gray in yards.  He won't be passing Gabbert there though.  He still needs 8 TD's to pass Gray in TD's.  Bortles is currently 5th in completion percentage, with only 1 player with more than 3 attempts above him.  (Rob Johnson).  With the other three being Ace Sanders, Bryan Barker, and Matt Jones.  Good ol' Bryan Barker.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

When did Bryan Barker, Ace Sanders, and Matt Jones play quarterback? We are not talking about any other position here.

First time since 2007 we've held three opponents in a row to under 20 points

Whoa, That is one scary stat. Im so glad we snapped that streak.

Some pretty cool records and stats being brought up tho. I hope to see Blake break a rookie record worth while.
