Best Defensive Prospect

No one worth a top 3 pick which we will be. Trade down this year.

The biggest possible copout.

Quote:Ifo Ekpre Olomu and Vic Beasley look like the best defensive prospects available.

I agree with Ifo Ekpre, but for some reason Beasley reminds me of Dion Jordan (= Bust).

IMO the DB's need the most attention, the D-line can be addressed in later rounds for depth, we need a ball hawk FS or a Shut down CB. Not sure what we can get in FA for the backfield but the DB position HAS to be addressed.

Sorry to go off topic but, I am a huge Gurley fan. Is he worth a top 5 pick and do we need to spend our first round pick on a RB? I think he is worth it. He reminds me of Freddy T when he came out (the way he runs and plays the game) and he has the same size and weight as well.

LOVE THEM JAGUARS!

Quote:im with you on the DGB pick, he would enter the regular draft i believe, the only reason he would go supplemental is if he changed his mind after the draft. while i think hes gonna be good, i think i wouldnt trust him unless he went out and proved it on the field in college one more year with no issues.

also to the guy that just says fix the line in FA. who is to say there will even be talent available to fix it? at this point we cant assume there will be and have to project to using the draft to fix it.

Agreed. DGB is just asking for another Blackmon headcase only this time more apparent because he's gotten into more trouble than Blackmon did.

Supplemental draft though, why not...

I really really want Gurley so bad.

Gurley would be worth an early first if his health wasnt such a question. Teams will be doing their best to move up if he makes it past the 20 spot

Ifo got routinely toasted by Arizona. Teams were avoiding him all this season and a lite while toward the end of last season but Arizona didn't and they ate him alive.

On top of him being a little short, and not really a standout shutdown guy, I wouldn't want him early or even mid 1

Washington State abused him too. He has not played well this year at all.

I would take Marcus Peters over Ifo Ekpre.

About Gurley: I like him but I doubt any RB will be taken in top 10-15 anytime soon. RB position has devalued over the last few years and teams have found good RB's in 2nd and later rounds. But I would absolutely draft Gurley in second half of 1st round. If we let Beast Mode go, I would love to have Gurley in Seattle, but don't see it happening.

My autocorrect has been killing me lately.

Right now I'm not seeing a prime time corner with top ten status anywhere in college football.

The top of the draft seems very weak this upcoming year.

@ Achilles - I agree, no one really stands out from the rest at the top right now. There's just a bunch of good players, but no cant miss prospects this year. IMO

Hopefully we can trade down with somebody who is wanting one of the top QB's

I have not seen any top corners either. Some interesting defensive line prospects though.

Whoever it is, the Jaguars will most definitely benefit from trading down and being able to snag multiple high defensive picks.

I think Gurley is a special talent but we need defensive players. I do agree as of today we need to draft a RB high. Not a good place to get one in FA

You've got to love how the draft chatter has picked up significantly considering that we're only in the sixth week of the season.

Morris Claiborne was the last elite CB prospect to come out but he has not played well for the Cowboys. Kyle Fuller looks like he will be the best CB since Patrick Peterson
