Come on Jags! 29 - 27 Jags win

Quote:If they do it will likely be due more to being gassed/on the field from too many 3 and outs from Henne.

The Eagles defense isn't exactly the 2000 Ravens, either....

Eagles 29

Jags 17

I think we'll be good enough to win some games against the likes of the Browns, tacks, tinhorns, maybe even one against the clots.

But we won't be beating a team that, imo, has a very good chance at being in the NFC championship game.

Their D doesn't have to be great to hold Henne to less than 20

No. But the eagles aren't world beaters, either. A few touchdown drives, defense forcing some plays, and winning the field position battle could be enough.

Week one is the best time to catch an opponent off guard.

No one is safe.

The Jags CAN win the game.

It's just likely they won't.

If the Jags can contain Shady McCoy and force some 3 and outs. Theie high tempo offense will work against their D and cause them to be tired. Allowing for Henne to dink and dunk down the field for long drives and hit AR15 or Lewis in the RZ.

It isn't likely. But this could happen. The high tempo Eagles O could be their downfall.

Or it could destroy teams.

By the way.....

and this is topical for this weeks game.... Rolleyes

I'm guessing the Eagles uncharacteristically wear their white jerseys at home this week in their opener, forcing the Jags to wear their dark jerseys.

I wonder why they'd be doing that?? :whistling:

For the Jags to win the game outright, I think some combination of 2 DEFENSE or special team's TD's would have to occur.

Jags can catch the Eagles off guard but their offense is pretty good. We don't want to get into a track meet. I think this is a tough one but if we do win, it will because we can shut down their running game at make them a little one dimensional. If this happens we could win something like 24-20.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

IMO, the Jags will need to score 30 to win this game.

This is one of those games that having Bortles might have made all the difference as with him in there, the Jags will then be able to match teams point for point i.e. a track meet, when need be.

With Henne/ Gabbert/ Garrard/ Leftwich....We always had to try to shorten the game to try and win vs these type of opponents. I'll be glad when those days are over.

Cuz it's gonna be so hot in Philly?

68 degrees and <60% humidity...at kick off.

Man... those teal jerserys sure are gonna make our boys tired faster....

too bad they couldn't have practiced all summer in 90+ 100% humidity type weather.

68 degrees? I heard a high temp of 85 and muggy/ humid. Whats 68? The low temp from that previous night??? Laughing

and "teal jerseys"?? Do you even Jaguar? Laughing

......aaaaaannd thats not even the point.

The point is - why would the Eagles even be doing this - if as some of you say - theres no advantage?

Going by weather.com it's supposed to be 78 and rainy.

Weatherunderground has it between 73-77 with 30ish percent chance of rain.

We're all encouraged to wear white in summer, since white clothing is supposed to keep us cool — but it doesn't. In fact, black clothing is the best way to keep cool in the heat. It's basic physics. And biology. Find out why cool people will wear black this summer.

I looked up the weather forecast.

Philadelphia, PA
Sunday 1:00 PM
Partly Cloudy
[Image: partly_cloudy.png]<div>
<div style="color:rgb(33,33,33);font-size:64px;">68
°F | <a>°C</a>
</div>

<div>Precipitation: 10%
Humidity: 59%
Wind: 5 mph\

And yes I said teal. They have black, teal, and white jerseys... I imagine if Philly chose white, we could choose either or primary black or teal. I would think teal.

And yes dark colors attract or retain more heat. But if you think it matters enough to effect a game you're nuts.

Especially in Philly weather.

Saturdays high is forecast to be 92 in Philly.

Sat night's LOW is forecast to be 69.

So according to your forecast the temperature will DROP to 68 between the low temp that night, and Kickoff. Laughing

also....

The Jags can only wear teal up to 2 times per year and it has to be a home game. The teal is our alternate "3rd jersey".
