Eagles currently -10 favorites over Jaguars

Though I don't expect too many wins with Henne under center, I do expect our improved defense to keep the games a lot closer than they were the majority of last year.. and who knows, Henne just might surprise us and ... oh hell... who am I trying to kid... Never mind...

I'm hoping we just stay in the game until the end. Last year they would've blown us away. We will find out where we stand come Sunday.

I think the Eagles are somewhat overrated. We'll see soon enough. I think the Jags keep it closer than the oddsmakers think.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I just want a competitive game. That's a sign of improvement to me. Competing with a team that'll eventually be in the playoffs.

Chris Clemons use to be an Eagle, maybe he will play with fire under his butt. Hopefully he has a 3 sack game. We need our defense to force turnovers.

The formula from the Jaguars game at Tennessee last season?

Philly isn't all that, and that QB is going to regress with a full off season of tape being reviewed.  Plus, with the Jags D with fresh legs to rotate in, defense will come up huge for Jax.

Jax win 20-17

Quote:I can see us hang pretty close for the first 3 quarters... and then, barring some further turnovers by the Eagles in the 4th, they should pull away with the W.

my prediction:

Eagles 24

Jaguars 13

Quote:17 - 6 Eagles win

So, you three think the Jaguars hold the Eagles to 24, 17, and 17 respectively??? Laughing

I don't know if you just fell off the turnip truck or what but the Eagles totaled 450 points LAST year, their first with Chip Kelly....its only likely to INcrease from that total from here.

If the Jags can hold the Eagles final score under 30, I'll be impressed.

For us to win this game, somebody is going to need to have a Breakout Game on both offense and defense

For the Jags to win this game they will need either 2 defensive scores OR 2 special teams TD's, OR a combo of both in addition to whatever Henne can muster.

He has to visualize playing the Texans. He plays best against them lately

I believe Gus will put our defense in a position to stop them and they will. The eagle's receivers don't scare me and I think we can put enough pressure on Foles to force a couple turnovers.

On offense, I'm comfortable enough with our top 4 receivers that if Henne just manages the game and keeps his mistakes to a minimum, which he did in the preseason, we can win IMO

I really don't know what to make of this team yet.  I don't think Vegas does either.
