Is Lee still unsigned?

Are vacations consistent with the quest for "full consistency?"

[Hangs head in shame] No, no sir they aren't.

I'll see if I can't book a flight back from the beach and tell my wife that she'll have to watch the kids for the rest of the week...

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Quote:I guess he doesn't need his bonus money... No reason to hold out for rookie draft choices these days because of slotting..

He really doesn't. He got a millions from his insurance policy he took out so he's in no rush to get his contract.

I don't see I as a big problem though. I personally feel the agent is drawing this out so he can charge him some of that money as well.

Quote:Or maybe……because he is coming off a 2013 MCL sprain AND an ankle injury in OTAs…….maybe……
If i had to put my money on it, then I'd agree, that the team might be trying to put in some sort of injury clause considering he only had two season in college where he was healthy.

Quote:I read an article after the draft where they were talking about what still needs to be negotiated with the contracts. Everything from personal workout schedules, pay check breakdown (monthly, bi-monthly, etc.), and other things that aren't really talked about. So I can understand still taking more time to sign your contract. I understand the pay scale is slotted, but the contracts aren't cut and paste. He'll be signed soon enough.
They aren't negotiating a paycheck breakdown. The CBA already dictates their pay schedule. 1/17th of their salary paid weekly over the course of the season.

With the Blackmon situation, the Jags may be trying to incorporate other protections for the team beyond what would be considered the normal rookie contract.  I don't think the squabble is about the amount of money.

I think you hit the nail on the head. The negotiation at this point is going to be about guaranteed money. Caldwell seems to know what he's doing and is looking to build in some protection for the team in case the injury has an impact into this season.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Not worried at all. He will be signed before camp starts. Also he will be healthy and ready for Sully's coaching. The kid is humble and has been thru a lot growing up in California and still is not satisfied with what he has accomplished. He wants more and will put the time & effort in to make that happen. I am betting that he will have a solid if not stellar rookie season and make all of us proud of him.
