Del Rio's coaching in Denver
|
Quote:LOL....as if anyone should be surprised. Oh I am not surprised. Actually I'm glad to see it happen so others around here can remember how mediocre at best the Del Rio era was. Was just interesting to see the same issues that plagued us for years happen to a team with such an (normally) explosive offense.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

The two words that may cause you more problems with others here than anything. You people? Who, exactly, are you people. You seem to use that a lot, and it's never good. Care to elaborate?
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Quote:I assume you meant to say, "As soon as the Pats came back from down 3 TDs . . ." Quote:How does this make any grammatical sense? Quote:Because that is what they did, of course. Quote:I assume he means that it should be "As soon as the Pats came back from being down 3 TDs" or "As soon as the Pats came back from down 3 TDs down" Quote:I was just trying to figure out the basic message, OK? Not trying to correct somebody's bad grammar. I thought my message was pretty easy to decipher even if it wasn't my usual perfect English However, it turns out the meaning behind my message is subject to debate. Who am I to reveal the meaning and purpose of this board's greatest mystery? What did Jagwired'd truly mean? The world may never know.

As soon as the Pats came back to win it was obvious that the insure back patters would be on here. As if Del Rio has anything to do with the Broncos offense. But of course the insecure will find a way to draw some correlation to Del Rio's time here in Jacksonville. Even when there is none. But when you're insecure, that's what you do.
The sun's not yellow, it's chicken.
Not defending but you mean JDR , as DC, had enough time to change the broncos offense playbook to his own. Would fox allow that?
As a rule do head coaches call all the offense and defense plays? or do the coordinators. Also I thought jughead pretty much ran the O. Maybe the brokos just got beaten by the better team?
Because Jaguars is our mantra

Quote:Just like clockwork. dude, just stop. what about his DEFENSE???? You know, the one that never holds an opponent under several trips to the end zone in big late season and playoff games, like ever???? Amazing how many sympathizers such a lousy coach has. Granted, the Head Coach is partially responsible for his team losing a 24 point lead. That's a lead that no team should lose in a football game. , However, two 2nd half turnovers by the Broncos Offense that led to 32 and 30 yard TD drives, caused considerable damage to the Broncos in this game. This on top of the injury to DRC that Jaguarswoman touched on earlier in this thread.
The key for the Broncos is how do they respond to this OT loss in what shapes up as their most important game of the regular season. My guess is they will beat the Chiefs by at least a TD, tomorrow. Quote:dude, just stop.Dude, just stop. Your pathetic attempt to stick Del Rio with anything negative that has happened or will happen to the Broncos, just to make some sort of cheap point - which is what, exactly? - is pathetic and sad. But standard operating procedure for you. Where are all the people who came on here professing their love for Del Rio? Oh, that's right, there weren't any. But you have to come on here to tell those non-existent people that you never liked Del Rio anyway. Wow, what a cutting edge statement. When the obvious is needed, you're the one to call.

Quote:Not defending but you mean JDR , as DC, had enough time to change the broncos offense playbook to his own. Would fox allow that? Coordinators call all of the plays on most teams, but the head coach writes the playbook and decides what type of offense or defense he wants. JDR made it very clear at his introductory press conference he would not change anything while John Fox is out.

And that is a good point about the turnovers putting New England in excellent starting field position. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Del Rio is a Welker mistake away from being 3-0. His defense held the Pats scoreless for a half before his offense decided to let New England back in the game.
He won't be enshrined in Canton, but he's doing a good job. Actually, he's doing 2 good jobs, as both HC and DC, and will hold down the fort until Fox comes back. With a win at KC, he will be back in HC conversation for next year, and all y'all's hating can do nothing to stop it. Sympathizer? Hell, I'm a fan.
Quote:Del Rio is a Welker mistake away from being 3-0. His defense held the Pats scoreless for a half before his offense decided to let New England back in the game. Wes Welker took the blame, but Tony Carter was the one looking the wrong direction. Of course, it should not have come down to a fair catch because the Broncos led it 24-0 at halftime. John Fox will come back tomorrow. He is expected to work upstairs like Gary Kubiak is, however, so JDR apparently will continue to hold the challenge flag.
The bottom line is the Broncos went 3-1 under JDR as Interim Coach and went from being a game behind the Chiefs to being a game in front of the Chiefs in the AFC West. With a head to head sweep over KC. Not to mention, they would be the # 1 AFC seed if the season ended today.
