Del Rio's coaching in Denver
|
Has anyone else besides me noticed huge correlation to the "struggling" Broncos and the past decades of the Jags under Del Rio? Even with Peyton Manning, they struggle on offense compared to the explosiveness they had earlier. Might be just me wanting to see bad in Del Rio, but I notice it.

Not a coincidence that Manning's team struggle more in cold weather. Just like in Indy, the head coach is almost irrelevant on Manning teams.

As soon as the Pats game back down 3 TDs because of Del Rio's soft zone, I thought to myself "Some things really never change"
THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
FWIW, prior to the Patriots-Broncos game both sports radio here and a prominent newspaper columnist (Gerry Callahan of the Herald) counted JDR as an advantage for the Patriots. The radio guys referred to him as a buffoon and compared him to Tony Romo in the sense that he would find a way to screw up the game for the Broncos.

They both could have 8-8 tattooed on their forehead. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I totally noticed Del Rio's fingerprint in the their game plan. They were running the ball old school and playing his defense. The thing is, Belichick has always had Del Rio's number, and will probably continue to school Del Rio every time they meet up.

Quote:As soon as the Pats game back down 3 TDs because of Del Rio's soft zone, I thought to myself, "Some things really never change." I assume you meant to say, "As soon as the Pats came back from down 3 TDs . . ." It is important to note how Denver scored 24 points and prevented New England from scoring in the first half. They did it with their ball-hawking defense. Even former Jag Terrance Knighton recovered a forced fumble and ran it back. One fumble recovery went for a touchdown. The first half was all about Denver's defense, not the offense. I guess you did not watch the first half. It is also important to keep in mind DRC was injured on the last play of the first half and did not return. Without him on the field, Denver's defense struggled because they already were missing Champ Bailey. In addition, New England got some more opportunities by taking the ball away four times. It was clearly Denver's offense that lost the game.

Quote:How does this make any grammatical sense? Because that is what they did, of course.
LOL....as if anyone should be surprised.
You people never learn, thats the problem. Some of you were even starting to look back on the JDR era in Jacksonville fondly.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() He's not a good pro head coach, and not all that great of a D-Coordinator, either. End of story.
Quote:LOL....as if anyone should be surprised. And here you go again with your Debbie Downer crap. First 6 weeks: No Von Miller. Most of the year: No Champ Bailey: Second half at New England: No DRC. But that is not causing the Broncos to make every game a shootout. In fact, some of their games were blowouts. When we were in Denver, the Broncos were #1 against the run. So, Mr. Pessimist, can you show me proof JDR is a bad DC when he does not have to worry about all 53 players?

LOL, I can't talk crap on the Broncos now?? All I see above is excuses. And I don't want to hear any of it. JDR has the benefit of Peyton Manning and he still cannot win the big game against Belichick. His defense sucked in the playoffs last year, too. He's just not that good. Too bad if this upsets you. Go become a Broncos fan if you like JDR so much. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Debbie Downer? WHat the hell do I care about the Broncos??? JDR just flat out choked.

His defenses always give up big points in big games late in the year. They did in the playoffs last year too, as well as his playoff teams in Jax. He just sucks. The Broncos are better than the Patriots, so I can understand Denver being the favorite at New England. I can't remember another Broncos game with Peyton Manning that they had four turnovers. Quote:Because that is what they did, of course. I assume he means that it should be "As soon as the Pats came back from being down 3 TDs" or "As soon as the Pats came back from down 3 TDs down"
Quote:I assume he means that it should be "As soon as the Pats came back from being down 3 TDs" or "As soon as the Pats came back from down 3 TDs down" I was just trying to figure out the basic message, OK? Not trying to correct somebody's bad grammar. Actually, "3 TDs" is not completely accurate. The Broncos scored four times in the first half: 3 TDs and 1 FG. |
