Playoffs? Chad Henne makes Jim Mora look like a piker

Quote: :woot: If Henne goes 4000 yards and 32 TD's in the next 8 games you wouldn't call him a franchise QB!? I'd do backflips

Na, then you would have to look at the entire picture of his career and come to the conclusion he isn't very good and the majority of those stats would be against the prevent in garbage time.

Edit: Keep in mind that garbage time these days is the entire 2nd half.

Quote:It's clear there are folks here who simply can't stand optimism in any form.

I'm not sure what you were expecting him to say.  I'd be more concerned if he had a defeatist attitude.  The fact that he's at least trying to sound optimistic is actually encouraging.  They haven't quit, and contrary to public opinion on this board, the players aren't tanking intentionally.  They're simply not good right now.  I don't find his statements to be delusional.

What's funny here is had he said the team sucks and they're not going to the playoffs, some of the same folks would have skewered him for having a bad attitude.  There's nothing these guys can do to win either on or off the field.

Oh please FBT....he could have said something "optimistic" without sounding like a total clown. Henne's comments will just serve as media fodder for how much of a joke this franchise is right now. Had Henne said something like "Were going to try and go out and win this week and worry about the next game when it comes", then that would have sounded intelligent. Henne came off as a bozo with his comments and had that been Garrard saying the exact same thing in that situation, you would be ROASTING him right now, but since its Henne, you take the tact you are.

He didn't sound like a total clown, but I know that's just your schtick talking.

I never "roasted" Garrard for the things he said. My focus was always on what he did on the field, so keep flailing away, diva.  I'm not sure why you think my approach would be any different with Henne.  What are you, in that pea sized brain of yours, trying to imply?

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You keep talking about TMD's "Schtick" but you have one of your own: it's going overboard on everything he says. Literally everytime i see him post something you are the next person to reply and its always some insult. You two fight like little girls on a school yard.

It's never gonna happen with Henne, so it doesn't matter, but man if ANY JAGUARS QB ever went for 4000 yards and 32 TD's in 8  games I'd call them a franchise QB and more.

Read the bilge he posts.  I'm not going overboard in responding to his nonsense.  If you don't like the exchange, feel free to ignore my posts. Nobody is forcing you to read them, but you sure do like to whine about them.

So making one comment is whining? "I'm right on top of that Rose!" You are going overboard by responding to every little thing he says. If you don't like his posts, why not ignore them just like you asked me to do? Take your own advice.

Also, he has different views than you... So that makes them bilge? Totally cool.. I get it. You just sound like a grumpy old man who sits at his computer looking at this ugly motorcycle.

Say what you want about Chad Henne's performance level.       That likely will end his stay with the Jaguars after this season,   barring a major turnaround.

However, from a leadership standpoint,    I give Chad Henne credit.   The practice field,   meeting rooms,  and locker room can be a depressing place in an 0-8 season.    Henne is putting himself on the firing range with his optimistic outlook.    That's leadership!    Even if the end results continue to be losses for the Jaguars,  if Henne helps get younger players on the team to raise their level of play because of accountability,   Henne will have helped the Jaguars moving forward beyond 2013.

This isn't the first time you've done it.

I'm fairly certain this is a message board, and in such Internet forums, responding to posts is part of the process.  Not terribly difficult to understand.  I'm not the one sitting here complaining.  That would be all on you.

Yes, in my opinion (which I'm entitled to express here), I feel his viewpoint is complete bilge.  That's my view.  If you don't, like his posts and friend request him.

Really cutting me deep with the motorcycle comment.  Really, very pained by this.  Maybe you can post a picture of your Schwinn to impress the board?

Thank you.

He doesn't sound like a clown as one certain diva indicated earlier. He's showing some leadership on a team that's severely lacking.  It hurts nothing to be optimistic despite the fact that he has to know the writing on the wall about both the fate of this team and his long-term future as a part of it.

He didn't sound like a total clown???! The Jags per the media's perception and statistically are seen as one of the worst teams in history and you are going to assert that Henne didn't sound like a total clown by inferring that the Jags still have a remote chance at the playoffs?????  Laughing Laughing thats some good stuff right there....

What am I trying to imply?? that you are being totally hypocritical and take a much lighter stance vs Henne than you would have been had Garrard said the same exact thing in a similar spot. You claiming another has a pea sized brain is funny, though. Nice projection.

  I totally agree.

Being that the Jaguars probably don't have a QB currently in the organization that will be part of the long term future,  unless a QB from another roster unexpectedly becomes available on the waiver wire,  I think it's in the Jaguars best interest for Chad Henne to be the starting QB the remaining 8 games............ as long as he's relatively healthy.  At least with Henne, the team has a professional to help lead the squad through extremely difficult times.

I am very aware that this is a message board, but thanks for clearing that up. Everyone on here is entitled to express their opinion and my opinion is that you are overly fixated on TMD and need to move on

I'm also not complaining in the slightest. Sometimes it's fun to watch women bicker about meaningless things and see who pulls the others hair out first. Just think you may want to get a new hobby.

On many subjects,  you understand better than the vast majority of people that most of the media is extremely biased and causes considerable damage.     Please reflect on that as I think you might have a different opinion of what Chad Henne said,   as a result.

I'm glad to see Chad Henne take the attitude of screw what the media thinks!     Part of being a leader is to go out on the limb in many situations,  despite the perception of the media and others.  My respect for Chad Henne as an NFL player and as a person has increased noticeably as a result of his comments at the beginning of this thread.

FBT just can't stand that my takes on the Jags are often correct and he has to attempt to enforce damage control, thus always giving the positive spin on everything Jags. WHen I bash something Jags, it usually is warranted.
