I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

1) Cig butts being thrown out the window

 

2) You kindly turn on your left signal to change lanes and the dude from 10 yards back speeds up so you can't get in.  Then, when you give him the finger, he looks at you like you did something worng.

 

3) ... kind  of a follow-on to #2.  People that don't pull over on the side of the road to fight when you both have a traffic dispute.

He got confused by the turn signal because he'd never seen one before, and thought it was something offensive.

My pet peeve is people confusing the scientific definition of theory with the laymen definition of theory. The every day use of the word theory is roughly equivalent to a hypothesis in science. Theories are very well tested and established. Gravity, for example, is a theory but it most certainly isn't "just a guess/theory."

My pet peeve for today is the way people on TV start their sentences with the word "now."   And it has nothing to do with the actual meaning of the word "now."  It's just being used as a sentence starter. 

 

It's getting kind of irritating.

No kidding ... I think that's happened in the recent decade.  I don't recall that being an issue in the past.

 

I can understand the whole merging and cutting battle but a simple lane change while going 60mph should not constitute some sort of cutting .....
