When people say what's the point of firing GUS right now, it's letting him continue to have access to your young players, corrupting them to be garbage and probably damaging any future talent they have. It's been apparent for years his teachings has done far more bad than good to anything he comes in touch with. And for Caldwell to keep this lame around for years is on him.

Fowler is essentially a rookie, AND is coming of an ACL.

Bortles has to play better no question, we saw his mechanics improved last year, now they've regressed. That's not Caldwells fault.

He literally drafted three players in the top 3 whose strengths did not match what they were drafted for. Joeckel was drafted a pass protector who couldn't even pass protect, Bortles was drafted a quarterback who couldn't even throw the ball, and Fowler was drafted as a pass rusher who couldn't even rush the passer. Joeckel was a good run blocker and a bad pass blocker, Bortles is better with his legs than his arm, and Fowler is better against the run than the pass. And when he made these picks EVERYONE knew this crap but him, with the exception of Joeckel. Get this [BAD WORD REMOVED] out of here!

Good summary. Yes Dave is bad at drafting 1st rounders. The worst one is a franchise QB who admitted he cannot throw. I fail to see what the scouts and GM's saw in Bortles. Were the other teams just bluffing and Blake would have dropped to the 3rd round? Surely someone noticed he cannot throw an accurate deep spiral? Basic things like that should have been detected.
