Clowney had micro-fracture issues and Fowler has been man handled. They are already using stunts with Fowler like they did Branch for him to get pressure.

There doing that because they have no clue how to use him and are forcing in to a system that has only worked for 1 team.

They don't know how to use him? If he was the 3rd pick of the draft and he's not a QB and can't pass rush like a DE then he is a BUST. Otherwise you don't take a guy like that so early. If Vic Beasley is being called a bust being drafted AFTER Fowler then what does that make Dante??

I don't understand you guys who refuse to call a spade a spade. Fowler sucks the way the are using him and he always has. A switch is not all of a sudden going to be turned at age 22 that will make him a dynamic pass rushing defensive end when he has been playing football since he was 5 years old.

Fowler has not shown anything in his career ever to suggest he is a pass rushing defensive end. Not in highschool, not in college, and not through 7 games in the NFL. What makes you think a switch will all of a sudden be turned and he will become a double digit sack artist? Fowler is who he is, a fast linebacker who hustles and plays agaisnt the run well and can do a little bit of everything and can get pressure rushing the A-Gap. Can he be a good player? Yes. Is he ever going to be worht the 3rd pick in the draft? NO.

None of what your saying makes him a bust.


I'm going to save my judement until I see him play for a couch that doesn't have every single player on this team massively underperforming.

So Watt must suck because they have to move him allover the line?


Fowler has been disruptive at times this year and caused 2 int has 2 sacks, then after the team took a nose dive so did he.


Everyone here agrees this coach staff sucks and is holding this team back but for some reason that doesn't apply to Fowler.

If he's not a DE, after being drafted 3rd overall he is already a bust.

 

How do ya figure that one? Ever heard of a 3-4 OLB? Last I checked those guys rush the passer, and last I checked rushing the passer is an important enough task to be worth a 3rd overall pick.

It's not just about playing time and experience, Vic Beasley profiled (athletically) as a potentially dominant pass rusher when he was coming out of Clemson. Beasley is a much better athlete than Fowler and has elite bend (6.91 3 cone compared to Fowler's time of 7.4), Beasley's upside is Von Miller-esque while Fowler's is more along the lines of a guy like Jabaal Sheard.
