Bortles latest example of Jaguars incompetence
|
Quote:My question to you is, what could possibly be the link between why our scoring defense is bottom 5 yet our yards per play defense was top 5 coming into this week?Nope. No chance at all. Jaguars were the #14 offense in the NFL last year and #31 scoring defense. Gus Bradley is #26-#31 EVERY YEAR now. It's 100% the defense and coaching. Why do you think the entire draft was defensive???? Still didn't help with inept coaching. No one is held accountable. Jags defense 28.1 ppg allowed in 2015 - #14 offense Jags defense 28.0 ppg allowed in 2016- Yeah, it's the offenses fault. We show less advertisements to registered users. So explain how the offense was able to play well last year? We had a bad defense (worse) and we couldn't run the ball either. Oh I know.. regression. Something you refuse to admit. But whatevs. You know Blake's agent so obviously you're more in tune with what's going on.
Quote:So explain how the offense was able to play well last year? We had a bad defense (worse) and we couldn't run the ball either. Name a great NFL QB that's had back to back top 10 QB years WITH a bottom 26-31 running game.....I dare you. You won't find one.
Quote:Name a great NFL QB that's had back to back top 10 QB years WITH a bottom 26-31 running game.....I dare you. You won't find one.Who says he was top 10? PFF ranks him at 18. He was 31st in completion %. 1st in INTs. 32nd in INT %. 23rd in QB rating. 1st in sacks (his poor decision making caused many of them). But I suppose throwing a lot of yards and TDs in garbage time (like this past week) is a true indicator of an elite QB. I should've known! And to answer your question: N.O. had the 32nd ranked D in 2015. 28th in 2014. Both years they had a top 10 offense. But let's talk about this year. Tennessee scoring defense is 25th. Top 5 offense. N.O. scoring defense is 27th. Top 5 offense. Atlanta scoring defense is 29th. Top 5 (#1) offense. So do go on.

Dude, you can pick him apart all YOU want but he had the BEST QB season in this AWFUL franchise's 21 year history at AGE 23. Clueless. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Check out my edit. Your excuse of scoring defense is getting old. Huh?! When has an NFL team given up 28 ppg EVERY year and made the playoffs? It's not old.....it's the REASON the Jags suck Quote:Nope. No chance at all. Jaguars were the #14 offense in the NFL last year and #31 scoring defense. Gus Bradley is #26-#31 EVERY YEAR now. It's 100% the defense and coaching. Lol! ESPN is flashing a really "cool" stat across the bottom of their screen tonight: Jags offense is worst in the league (that's #32, space) at 10.6 PPG for the first 3 qtrs of play. That's 2016. Worst in the league. What defense could handle that? Aren't numbers "fun"?
Quote:Lol! ESPN is awful. Bortles has 32 QB rating in first 90 QB rating next 3 quarters So that stat is utterly irrelevant and an outlier Just DUE TO the first quarter. Bortles last year had an 88 QB rating in the first quarter so I don't know why the struggles this year but we will find out with the new OC. So the Jags problems aren't the FIRST 3 quarters......it's ONLY the first quarter. ESPN is terrible. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Lol.#31 running game and.......#13 passing game Are you inept? Why did you think Olson got fired? Read what OLSON SAID.
Quote:Huh?! When has an NFL team given up 28 ppg EVERY year and made the playoffs? It's not old.....it's the REASON the Jags suck Why are we talking about playoffs? Your reason for why the offense sucks is the defense being the #28 scoring defense this year. I have you examples of other teams having huge offensive success with terrible defenses. Want to know the difference? Tennessee: Mariota - 14TD, 6INT, 63.3% comp. Atlanta: Ryan - 16TD, 4INT, 67.7% comp. N.O.: Brees - 17TD, 5INT, 68.5% comp. And then there's Bortles.... Jags: Bortles - 12TD, 9INT, 60% comp. His numbers were much worse until his garbage time performance on Sunday. So why is it that other teams (QBs) can perform with bad defenses?
No team can win when they're the #32 ranked PPG offense.
10.6 for 3 qtrs. Pathetic We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Jags have the #13 passing game in the NFL Jags have the #31 running game in the NFL You're sooooooo right. It's Bortles fault why the Jags suck. Go read what Olson said today......you might get a clue. Quote:Jags have the #13 passing game in the NFL Lol. Yup, #13 passing game (thanks to extreme 4th qtr garbage time stat padding against prevent defenses)
Quote:Lol.What does that to do with improving the team in the real problem areas? There is no such thing as garbage time, just a garbage franchise that keeps losing Why can't our running game improve in "garbage time"? Our defense?
Quote:Jags have the #13 passing game in the NFL N.O. has 2nd ranked passing and 31st ranked rushing. N.Y. has 6th ranked passing and 30th ranked rushing. Nope, no such thing as garbage time (with a prevent defense that gives up a 15-20 yard cushion). #32 PPG in 3 qtrs. Worst in the league space.
Quote:N.O. has 2nd ranked passing and 31st ranked rushing. Correct! That's why the Saints can never win. The ONE year they did win, they had a competent defense. The Saints are actually #28 in rushing yards per game. FYI. Jags are 31st. You have to account for byes when you actually try to prove an incorrect point. Quote:Correct! That's why the Saints can never win. The ONE year they did win, they had a competent defense. They sure couldn't have won anything with a #32 ranked PPG offense for 3qtrs of a game. Oh wait |
