I believe they are counting on Saquan Barkley being there for them. If the Browns take him #1, (which is what I believe happens), the Giants might very likely trade out or stay there and take a guy who IMO, is the best player in the draft, DE Bradley Chubb to upgrade that terrible pass rush which ranked #29 in the NFL last year. I have the Bills just missing out on the top QB's. I now have Darnold going #3 to the Jets, Allen going #4 to Cleveland, Mayfield going #5 to Denver and Rosen going #11 to the Dolphins. After missing out, I have Buffalo going LB Tremaine Edmunds at #12, OT mike McGlichey at #22 and selecting QB Mike White with one of their second round picks. I could easily see the Bills trading up passed the Dolphins though to secure their QB. I think picks #6, #7 and #8 are gonna be the ones in play for the Bills. They definitely have the ammunition. Here's my early guesses:
1-1 Cleveland drafts Sam Darnold. 1-2 NY Giants are taking Notre Dame OG Quenton Nelson. 1-3 NY Jets take Saquon Barkley, not a QB. He's been estimated to be the next Barry Sanders. 1-4 Cleveland drafts Bradley Chubb DE of NC State. 1-5 Broncos draft Minkah Fitzpatrick, CB/S Alabama. 1-6 Colts draft VT LB Tremaine Edmunds. 1-7 Tampa Bay drafts DaRon Payne DL Alabama 1-8 Bears draft Roquan Smith LB from Georgia 1-9 9ers select Vita Vea DL Washington 1-10 Raiders draft Calvin Ridley WR of Alabama. 1-11 Dolphins select Derwin James DB Florida State 1-12 Bills draft Tavin Bryan DL Florida 1-13 Redskins draft Leighton Vander Esch ILB of Boise State 1-14 Green Bay Packers draft Harold Landry OLB/DE Boston College 1-15 Arizona Cardinals draft OG Will Hernandez UTEP 1-16 Ravens draft Denzel Ward CB Ohio State 1-17 LA Chargers draft Sam Rosen QB, UCLA 1-18 Seahawks draft Isaiah Wynn, OG, Georgia 1-19 Dallas Cowboys select Conner Williams OT Texas 1-20 Lions draft Derrius Guice RB LSU. 1-21 Bengals draft OT Mike McGlinchey Notre Dame 1-22 Bills draft Baker Mayfield QB Oklahoma 1-23 LA Rams draft Ronnie Harrison S Alabama 1-24 Panthers select Justin Reid S Stanford 1-25 Titans draft LB Rashaan Evans Alabama 1-26 Atlanta Falcons select Marcus Davenport DE UTSA 1-27 New Orleans Saints select Dallas Goedert TE South Dakota State 1-28 Pittsburgh Steelers draft Josh Jackson CB Iowa 1-29 1-30 Vikings draft Carlton Davis, CB, Auburn 1-31 New England Patriots select Rasheem Greene DE, Southern California 1-32 Philadelphia Eagles draft D. J. Chark, WR, Louisiana State University (03-18-2018, 02:27 AM)JUNGLE CAT 2017 Wrote: Here's my early guesses: Give me WR Courtland Sutton.

At one point in time I felt the Broncos might want Josh Allen because his huge arm would be even bigger playing in that Denver air, but after listening to their HC talk about Keenum and Lynch, it sounds like he might stand put at QB and instead opt for Fitzpatrick to replace the departed Aqib Talib.

They only signed Keenum to a 2 yr. deal, so they can't be that confident in him. They were all in on Cousins at one point, but it was only when he really didn't show any interest in them, they opted for Keenum. Case is just a bridge QB and to date, Lynch has been a dud. First, it solidifies the left side of their offensive line for the next 5 years or for however long Solder continues to play. Second, with the guard depth in this class, they could come back in round 2 or 3 and get another guard, and their O_line is basically set. The T from Miami has been a turnstile at LT, but he may fare better at RT. But ultimately, I think the Giants go QB. New GM there. New coach there too. Both have a 38 year old QB. That alone would typically be enough. But considering we are talking about a G at #2 overall, a position that is traditionally devalued come draft time, at a position of strength and depth in this draft class, I think that cements the Giants going QB here. 1-3 I see no way the Jets don't take a QB here. First if you look at their current roster, the top two guys would be a 38 year old McCown and a gimpy Bridgewater. After that you have Hackenburg, a 2nd round bust who has yet to take a snap in a regular season game, Bryce Petty, a 4th year guy who has been similarly unimpressive, and Joel Stave. Secondly, I don't see the Jets giving up all of those picks to take a RB. 1-9 I like Vita Vea, but the 49ers are absolutely stacked with highly and recently drafted DT types. Granted, those guys don't have the build of Vea, but I see the 9ers going elsewhere. When teams get what they believe to be a good young potential franchise signal caller, they try to surround him with weapons. 1-12-The Bills made all of those moves, starting last year, culminating to this point with the trade of LT Cordy Glenn to swap picks with Cincy, all in the effort to finally land a QB. If Josh Rosen is somehow miraculously on the board at 12 (he won't be), no way the Bills let him pass. They only have AJ McCarron (3 starts) and Nate Peterman (one unmitigated disaster of a start) on the roster. 1-14 Landry makes a lot of sense for the Packers there. 1-15. Don't see the Cards going G there. They are another QB desperate team. If Rosen is somehow still on the board at 15 (he won't be), the Cards snap him up. 1-25 I like Evans as a player, but if the tacks were to go LB, they would go for an edge rusher instead. Orakpo is 30, Morgan is nothing special and a liability in coverage, and Dodd has been a bust. 1-26 Atlanta has just spent their last two of their last three first round picks on edge rusher Takk McKinley and edge rusher Vic Beasley. I don't see them going edge rusher here. 1-28 Pittsburgh just spent a 1 last year on CB Artie Burns. Their run defense collapsed late last year, in no small part due to the loss of Shazier. I'd think they would go ILB or NT here. If the draft somehow unfolded like this, I would take either QB Mason Rudolph, or WRs Courtland Sutton or DJ Chark for the Jaguars. 1-31 New England just lost Nate Solder to free agency and they also have no real candidate to succeed Brady at QB. Assuming the draft unfolds in this way, I have to think either O-Neill, the LT from Pitt or QB Mason Rudolph would be the picks here. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
And Jets fans now questioning whether the Bridgwater deal has been abandoned...
