Jaguars' biggest problem isn't Blake Bortles. It's complacency.

It amazes me on here that so many fans seem to be more alarmed about the play on defense. This is really the first bad game that they have had this year. Sure, Kansas City was able to get more creative and their overall team speed on offense was favorable at times against our team speed on defense.

But they limited Mahomes to 2 INT's and only 1 rushing TD. Prescott didn't torch the defense that BAD number wise either. It was the ground plays that got us more than anything. And that was an issue off and on all of last year. Just like the Poz argument. Same defense last year for the most part going into this year. And last year's defense had at least four games where they completely lapsed. Even when Poz was involved.

The offense is the Achilles Heel of this team. And it'll continue to be just that until Marrone and Hackett figure out how to get Bortles back on track or at least take the pressure off of him with a better game plan on the ground.

But it's demoralizing and disheartening to see that on defense from the sidelines. When you know your offense can't move the football. Why would you go out there and give it your all when your offense is already 6ft deep? A lot of guys are just making business decisions out there at that point.

Baltimore did it right. You can say whatever you want about Taven Bryan. We had a lot of offensive options there that should have been either considered or selected that certainly could have added more return value and then some from day one.

But I tip my hat to Newsome and Baltimore for taking Jackson there at QB. Flacco was under performing and looking overpaid by the day. All of a sudden they invest a 1st RD pick in a QB and they start seeing Flacco play up to his face value at the minimum. They lit a fire under his [BLEEP]. So. In essence. Yes. Complacency has started to rear it's ugly head this season.

They’ll probably be back up to 4th or 5th in pressures after playing the tinhorns.
QB pressure has literally been an issue in one game thus far.
QB containment has been a problem in three.

10th in pressures is ok and all, but I remember the thread where people were up in arms because it was hinted that the Eagles and Vikings dlines MIGHT be on par with the Jags in the best dline conversation. 10th isn't nearly up to snuff for this dline.

When teams are up big in the 4th, we're not gonna have as many opportunities to pressure.
A lot of last year was being up, or at least close, most of the game, whether by defensive scores or offense being good enough...
this year we haven't had enough of either
