Dropping balls and couldn't stay healthy and the hate always mystified you? Im glad he is playing well but not sure why you could't see why there was hate for the guy.

Because calling for a player in his rookie contract to be cut due to two injuries is really, really stupid.

I don't get that.

But it was a very popular opinion around here.

And his drop percentage was nothing alarming at all. That was blown out of proportion.

Feel free to refute that after looking it up.

He dropped a lot in college (12.31% drops). It's been better in the NFL (roughly a palatable 9% average) but he's also getting the easiest of passes to catch so it's hard to say if his hands are really better or simply his catch difficulty is on easy mode.

Lee seems to get better every game.  I also loved the TD play to Benn.  A bit of luck but you usually make your own luck.

LOL

Bortles has given him plenty of tough balls to catch.  That's weak.  Bortles makes a simple slant or RB swing pass look like a circus feat half of the time.

They have tried to connect on that slant at least twice this season with no success. Today they figured it out and more.

Yup even his rookie year he was getting a lot of tough balls thrown at him.

The routes he is running are still the easy mode routes. Slants, speed outs, screens...everything short with YAC. That he is dropping ~9% of those easy types of passes might not actually be a sign that his hands are getting better, but maybe they are...that's why I said it's hard to tell at the moment.

He drew a PI on a go route

Quote:I think you all are confusing the words 'balling' and 'balled out' with the words 'finally showing signs of life'. OBJ balled out this week, Brandin Cooks was balling this week, Marqise Lee's 6-61 is finally showing signs of life. What a minuscule bar we've set with him when 6 receptions and a 10.1 yards per catch average is balling out.

Not bad for a 3rd or 4th option.

Easy routes =/= easy catches. Especially with BB5 slinging ducks off target.

I think his hands are just fine.

Hands and confidence go hand in hand. That I know for a fact. He is obviously gaining confidence.

Is this your way of coming full circle on your "Hurns can't catch with his hands" narrative?
