I'll trust the guys who evaluate players for a living and say that there are no franchise QBs in this draft.


Remind me of the QB the Texans drafted that ever amounted to anything.

 

Well, since the Texans have only drafted 2 QBs in their HISTORY before the 4th round (Carr and Dave Ragone in the 3rd), Kind of hard to judge.   Savage was a 4th round pick, TJ Yates was a 6th round pick.   Watson is the first QB to be drafted by the Texans in the first 3 rounds in like 14 years.   So, this is new territory....LOL.

All I can say is I hope he is like Petterson.  If not it is a waste.  People got what they wanted.  Careful what ya wish for.  For me so far a nightmare.  Looks like Coughlin trying to relive Taylor Made days.   But Fournette is not close to Taylor.  A younger Ivory with a below average run blocking line.  Not good.  

 

But I will look at more of Fournette and hope can come to terms with he pick.  Because we have the worst qb in the division right now.  Hope blake can turn it around.  Or we have a plan for a better qb.   

 

A this point.  No telling.  I hate it when a division rival gets the best of us.  Cause anyone who thinks we can go 4-2 or higher during course of six games.  Is highly mistaken.  The browns look smarter than us right now.  

 

Will be no easy game in afc south now for us.   So I guess we are waiting till 2019 for our first winning season.  The issue with a rookie line.  Will b,  not ahead of the curve.  

This. I've no doubt Fornette has been good in college, but this is the NFL and we have a below average o-line. Obviously, you can only draft what is available at the time, but we need some good offensive linemen more than anything... even more than another quarterback at this point.

2018 class is loaded with QB's. Maybe HOU can trade their 2019 1st to get back into next years 1st round.

Love the first pick. However, unless we go get a QB tomorrow, teams will just stack the box.

If we come away with a QB then we can be a dark horse for the playoffs.

A later round QB pick ...rookie...has a better chance to take us the post season? Ok.

I laugh at Bortles as much as the next man, but this thread is hilarious. BB5 is still a major threat to throw the ball. 

 

I don't like any QB in this draft. 2018 is loaded with them, so TC can grab one next year. Besides, it's a process. It's not like we were winning the SB this year.

I would not be surprised at three more Offensive big uglies in this draft. Then maybe a few undrafted rooks as well.

We get a QB, he winds up on his rear 9 times out of 10 just like BB5. They're gonna stack the box either way because our offensive line is trash. 

 

The o-line class isn't the best this year, but the QB class is even worse. Get your hands on a Lamp or a Robinson, draft a QB next year. BB5 will be fine for one more year.
