One of these years we’ll get a gm who really takes the best available player and not their opinion on best available need. Pretty sure that’s why our top five drafts picks have mostly sucked. If one of those d lineman is the unquestioned best player when we pick, take him. Prime example we took need(Bortles) over BAP(Mack) and it makes no sense to continue to do the same over and over. If we take another qb just off need and he’s [BLEEP], they might as well move to London.

This idea that this draft's crop of QBs isn't as good is a misnomer.

I remember hearing this every other draft or so... "next years crop of [insert position here] is better"
Truth is... no one of us, or any draftnik, really know if next years crop is going to be any better, healthier, or anything.

If you need a QB you go get one... you don't put your fanbase through THIS kind of season and then sit on the problem for a whole year.
Other than Tua (and Herbert if he stays in) I'm not sure how "next years QBs" are gonna be any better, and there is no guarantee Tua comes out as a Jr and there is no guarantee we're in position to get either next year.

If we're picking top 10 and Grier or Haskins or Lock is available I think it'd be pretty stupid to not select one of them.
But that's just like, my opinion, man.

This really isn't a draft board for the Jags. It's more of what I consider a top 10 overall players in the draft. It's a very defense heavy draft, particularly on the defensive line. If we would've drafted a QB last year, we still could've ended up with a DT/DE in the 2019 draft, better than Bryan.

If the top couple QBs are gone and Bosa is there, I dont see how you pass on him especially with Fowler gone and Calais at the end of his career and 15 mil cap hit.  We could trade back into the first and get good value on a QB most likely.  Especially if Haskins and Herbert come out.  A Dline of Bosa-Dareus-Bryan-Yannick would look nasty.

He certainly has some tools and perhaps it is the Oregon system but he's had a lot games under 60% completion and a few clunkers under 50

I honestly couldn't be mad at landing Bosa. Even if it meant having to take a less desirable route at QB (keeping Bortles, playing Kessler, signing someone like Fitz, and/or drafting a round 2/3 QB like Finley)

Him and Yan on edge with some combo of Dareus/Malik/Campbell/Bryan as interior guys would be nasty like Joey and Melvin in LA or the Rams line (obviously we're losing one of those vets guys this off season)

I think Irv Smith from Alabama could be a steal in the 3rd or 4th and I think once our entire O Line returns to full health, we will be okay

I totally agree with you on this one. With our schedule, I anticipate us winning either 1 or 2 more games which should enable them to remain in the top 10. They should be able to select the 2nd quarterback of this draft- either Herbert or Haskins. I just hope both those guys enter the draft. Grier may also be in the picture, depending on how highly the brass think of him.

To me, they are complete opposites.

Yeah I didn't put much thought into it, just really the big arms, quick release, and poor accuracy. I'll come back with a better one.

When comparing him to Lock, he's limited. Lock has elite arm strength. That's the one thing he really has over the rest of the class. He has an absolute rocket.
