SF looked pretty good running that Carroll defense last night.
Well they've been running it for the last few years and have been bottom of the league.

How about the rest of the LOB crew? Take a look at their rankings.

I did. It's miserable.

The system absolutely requires a front four that can consistently disrupt QBs with very little blitz help.
Right now SF, and to a slightly lesser degree Jax, are the only ones getting that done.
Atlanta's secondary has also had player issues in zone (much like ours) which compounds the problem.

The third strike against it is it surrenders the middle of the field in the short passing game unless you have LBs with elite cover skills and strong instincts. The league has had that figured out since the Seattle/N.E. superbowl.

Every team still has to play KC and Houston has to play NE as well.

So houston is 2-4 before those games and everyone else is 2-3 ?

Just had the numbers backwards, after a win over KC: 4-2

I never envisioned a rookie 6th round QB behind an OL featuring a LT coming off a torn ACL and a rookie RT playing as well as he has.

So far it appears the Texans' acquisition of Tunsil hasn't done much to help protect Watson.

Game #2 with no sacks allowed w/ 192 yards rushing. So...there's that.

Even though the thread title is no longer accurate (division is the texans to lose) you jags can take comfort in knowing your franchise is in a much better place than the flaming tacks..
What a mess...
