Pass rush didn't have a chance to get going because the ball was out almost immediately on short routes that we couldn't cover at all. I blame the coaching not making adjustments and shaq being dog crap more than the pass rush.

Even though that penalty was completely bogus when a players coming in to swap the ball and their hand comes down on the quarterbacks head It's BS... The league needs to change it because it's harmless to the quarterback It's beyond ridiculous

The front 7 was good the first few weeks but have fallen off. This team will continue to struggle until they solve the pass rush.

Fatukasi might be our defensive MVP.

We knew they weren't going to be run-heavy with them being down 2 RB, should have had speed rush in there all day anyway, and laid a big fat egg.

Allen got in Ryan's face on a few plays, but it was way too few. There is something systemically wrong. It can't be one guy plugging up the middle. That's been the only variable thusfar, though.

Notice also that when the pass rush falters, the turnovers aren't there. That was the biggest reason we were feasting earlier this year.

Youre probably right.  It usually starts up front.  We know that our LB's can cover the short stuff.  We've seen them do it.  Something was distracting them.

My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

If you have time watch all the rushes from the DEs. They took everything way too deep and the Ts were happy to let them try that. Ryan then either takes a half step forward or doesn't even need to move. The few rushes they were successful they cut their move inside or took the rush shallower.

I don't know how no one on the sideline told them to adjust their rushes but then again I'm not sure how the defensive coordinator didn't press the WRs and flood the box to stop the crossing routes. Then mix in press up the middle and Ryan would have been scared all day like he looked on the few passes that they blitzed up the middle.

Agreed.  Walker on pace for 3 sacks.  Thats not good enough for num 1 overall.  Gotsis and Smoot have 1.5 each. We blitz a lot and if it doesnt get home we lose.  Lately its not getting home enough. 10 sacks in 6 games as much as we blitz is not getting it done.

Where is Arden Key?  Caldwell needs to step it up giving up 34 to that indy team is not good he was definitely outcoached last sunday.

Pass rush and cb play go hand in hand and is my biggest concern on the team right now.  Defensive front not getting it done.

They fooled me for sure. I was positive Walker and Allen were going to usher in a new era of Sacksonville.

Same. I was thinking new franchise marks, etc. Just nonexistent at this time. Reminds me of the 2009 season. Maybe not as bad on the stat sheet. However, just the overall expectations when you have "premier" or "premium" picks invested at the position. Just nothing to show for it.

They seem extremely flat at the point of attack and they seem to lack any real techniques. It's bothersome, especially over the last two weeks because both of those teams, the clots and the Giants, they have pretty banged up offensive lines.

It's crazy, isn't it? How do you not put Lloyd on him after the first few runs he had? Especially with how ineffective this pass rush has been. It's garbage. They have a lot more games coming up where this will clearly present itself as a challenge to the defense.

The Jacksonville Jaguars' defense hasn't just fallen off a cliff. It has been taken to the edge of the cliff and then given a jet-pack trip to the very bottom. 

Only three defenses have posted a worse EPA/Play than the Jaguars' over the last two weeks, with Jacksonville allowing 57 points in the same span -- 24 of which have come in the fourth-quarter.
