Not me.  This team lacks talent on both sides of the ball.  Baalke sucks at free agency and his drafts aren't much better.

Maybe people will WAKE UP... probably not but... "team is so talented i can't believe we lose" should be bannable right now. The team is bottom of the pit. BOTTOM.

I disagree.  I think we make the playoffs and win double digit games next year with a real coach and new GM with a good draft.

What could have been, but something:has always been wrong this season.

I genuinely believe the fates do not favor us. I don't know who or what brought the wrath of the football gods upon Duval, but these close losses are EXHAUSTING. False hope worse than no hope, yadda yadda.

D was getting to Hurts, they were uncharacteristically sloppy, but we give them some freebies or can't figure out how to advance a pigskin for 2 and a half quarters of football. The week before, all the offensive heroics, but the D forgets how to cover or rush and blow the game. JUST ONE GAME, man, where we do well on both sides of the ball for a game...that too much to ask?

Can't BLOW a team out. That should be what we are looking for. Instead people try and take small victories with the "well we were in the game". Pathetic.

When a team/ref tries to give you the game and you still cannot capitalize, that's bad.

At one point it was 22-0 and we had 30 total yards of offense. To finish that game as a five point loss is unfathomable. The fates dangle that carrot in front of our noses just long enough for a sniff, and then we run a 3rd string RB on a post. YOINK! no more carrot.

If we can manage to understand the basic tenets of offensive football AT ALL anywhere in the first half, that was a winnable game. Or at least another chance to let the D collapse in the final minute. Six in one hand, bucket of turds in the other.

It becomes fathomable when you know that the line was 5 and a half...

Surely you guys saw Sirriani shaving points yesterday, right? There's no other explanation for the bone head situational football that EVERYONE is suddenly engaging in except that the bookies have control of the Analytics guys and tactics are now driven by the money line.

Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency. 


1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.  

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.  

I honestly believe Baalke will survive this. I don't know how, but I'm worried.

There's no way Boselli keeps Baalke...  

We just have to hope that someone has told Shad he needs to hire Boselli as EVP...  I have faith that Shad is more focused on the franchise now more than ever.  And he's ready to let professionals that have a passion for Jacksonville to run the show.  

Coughlin was too old and was really not passionate about the long term.  Urban is and has always been a douche bag.  Baalke was a cancer that ingratiated himself to many owners.  But I think times are about to change.

I have faith.  I have hope.  I think we're about to turn things around.

Doug came to a situation that was already a doomed failure. The franchise was turned around in one season to a playoff winning team, but despite trying to improve upon that where the weaknesses appeared we've somehow gone back down the toilet. How is our offense this anemic? The Lions were in the same boat when Campbell showed up, but they slowly improved the roster while staying a potent team. It's weird how a team just "Doesn't have it" as much as the Jaguars do week in and week out. We've still seen flashes of potential in crucial areas, but still lose the ball games. That pattern is what has to change, and why "winning the offseason" won't fly. That culture was to be cancelled when Gus Bradley/Urban left. It is on the Head Coach to win games, however necessary. Cancelling one variable out won't fix the equation. If Doug goes they all go and an entirely new regime will have to take over a pretty decent roster. I think Khan knows that. Imagine we come out of the Bye Week and just tear it up.

I think the big issue about sacking Doug mid season, is you’d usually give it to a co-ordinater to get you to the end of the season, the issue is both OC and DC have sucked as well. Regardless come the end of the season everyone needs to go, a complete clean house coaches and front office

As for Ben Johnson I would love him , but he’s gonna have the choice between Lawrence and burrow, and then everything Jerry jones can throw at him

No. I just didn't feel like getting into details while taking a creatine dump after the gym at home while my feet were going numb. OF COURSE there's more to an EVP. That's common sense. I think a key component though should be that you hire someone that's:

1. Passionate about the city of Jacksonville.
2. Passionate about the Franchise.
3. Has some degree or extensive knowledge of how the game works.
4. Has some degree of success or a pedigree to their name within said field in question.
5. Has the leadership and mentality to push, challenge and motivate those around him with proper delegation abilities.
6. Can be the team's ambassador and speak to critical issues whether that's marketing, sales, team building and coaching decisions. 

Boselli can more than likely do a good amount of these things above. It's also not uncommon to see players do this in the NFL. Chris Spielman in Detroit, John Lynch in San Francisco & John Elway in Denver. Why not Tony Boselli?

Meh. His tones have changed or shifted over time. There's a difference between being a public pundit for the team that actually sees the players more and is directly tied to the team Vs. what he would be saying behind closed doors at an Executive Level. It's no different than when you work with your coworker for a long time and that person gets promoted to a management role or better and all of a sudden you went from best buddies to "better get your [BLEEP] [BLEEP] to work on time or it's your [BLEEP]".
