Our Corner's (nice depth)
|
Quote:Playing 13 games last year has nothing to do with his probability of playing for a different team next season. He could stay in Jacksonville while another cornerback gets cut. Eligibility for the Practice Squad is limited to players who were on an active roster for fewer than six games, or were on the 45-man active gameday roster for fewer than nine games. I kept thinking that he would go to the Practice Squad and then read the above, so Nick playing 13 games does matter in that if he doesn't make the 53 man roster another team can sign him without any problems. My point is he could stay on the 53-man roster because we can cut someone else.

Well.. update
Source: Florida Times Union Carlyon says both could be gone by Week 1. A third-round pick in 2013, Gratz fell behind college quarterback Nick Marshall on the cornerback depth chart last season. Gratz's relatively cheap salary should keep him around through training camp, but his roster spot is anything but secure. Jacksonville will look to bring in secondary help in free agency and the draft. Mar 5 - 12:23 PM We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Well.. update This obviously is not an update. The draft just came and went. We already acquired two defensive backs in free agency. Show us real news - as in a story published this month.
Aren't we feisty at 1:49 in the morning? I meant update by the fact that I had changed my original post based on what I read back on March 5th. In hindsight I should've been more clear with my post, but I am only a fan on a message board & not a real reporter so I think we can all step away from the caffeine and relax.
