Projected Starters

I remember when Jack was first drafted everyone was saying lets keep him on the outside so he does not have to cover the entire field so we can protect his weak knees. Now all of a sudden we want him in the middle?

Quote:I would be great with either one of these:

1. Fournette

2. Tabor

3. Hodges

or

1. Thomas

2. Mixon

3. Hodges

Would prefer option 1 due to Mixon's history and risk and have a hunch Tabor will end up better than Bouye at a much cheaper price. Throw the money at Zeitler instead.

Better than Bouye? Did you see Tabor's combine results? 4.62 40.... 31" vert. There are surely better 2nd round options at CB.

Ok, with Bouye signing, I'll go ahead with the Fournette at #4 projection even though I'm really not sure about that and can still see a CB or DB being the pick. I'm actually leaning toward Jonathan Allen as a rotational DT, but for the sake of arguement Fournette it is. With day one of free agency complete, I'm now thinking (draft picks in italics)...

OFFENSE

  • QB Blake Bortles

  • RB Leonard Fournette (R1)

  • WR Allen Robinson

  • TE Marcellus Bennett <--Jags, 49ers and Raiders all still in play

  • LT Brandon Albert

  • LG Dion Dawkins (R2)

  • C Brandon Linder

  • RG AJ Cann

  • RT Jermey Parnell

  • WR Marquis Lee

  • WR Allen Hurns

DEFENSE

  • RDE Yannick Ngakou

  • DT Malik Jackson

  • NT Roy Miller III

  • LDE Calais Campbell

  • WLB Telvin Smith

  • MLB Myles Jack

  • SLB Paul Posluszny

  • RCB Jalen Ramsey

  • SS Barry Church

  • FS Tashaun Gipson

  • CB AJ Bouye

SPECIAL TEAMS

  • K Jason Myers

  • P/H Brad Nortman

  • LS Carson Tinker

  • KR Corey Grant

  • PR Marquis Lee

I don't see a release this offseason... however, if Jack proves himself in September at MLB, we could see Poz traded in October.

You know it's a good depth chart site when only one (1) of the coaches listed actually coaches the position they list him for.  Seriously, what's your fascination with these dumb 3rd party depth chart sites?

Will we be the first team to start 3 undrafted guys in the secondary?

I think Colvin would have to be injured in order for that to happen.

I know it's trendy to bash him lately for whatever reason, but he's a good nickel-back.

I like Johnson -- but I really doubt he beats out Colvin to play the slot.

Myles Jack was drafted to be the future at Middle Linebacker.

Caldwell stated that matter-of-factly after last year's draft.

Poz turns 33 in October.

It's time.

Ahh! Didn't know about Church being unfrafted.

Pretty cool isn't it. 3 undrafted guys who have clawed to get where they are and Ramsey who is ultra competitive.

Not 1 team will trade for Poz. He will probably be kept for depth and situational plays. Then released.

Poz was a stud last season. I believe he was a top 5-10 rated linebacker. Also a team leader. Many teams would love to have him. You're extremely off base.
