Projected Starters

#1

I realize free agency is still a day away, but the picture is already clear enough to make a projection for

starters (draft picks in italics)...

OFFENSE

  • QB Blake Bortles

  • RB Joe Mixon (R2)

  • WR Allen Robinson

  • TE Bucky Hodges (R3)

  • LT Brandon Albert

  • LG Kevin Zeitler

  • C Brandon Linder

  • RG AJ Cann

  • RT Jermey Parnell

  • WR Marquis Lee

  • WR Allen Hurns

DEFENSE

  • RDE Yannick Ngakou

  • DT Malik Jackson

  • NT Roy Miller III

  • LDE Calais Campbell

  • WLB Telvin Smith

  • MLB Myles Jack

  • SLB Paul Posluszny

  • RCB Jalen Ramsey

  • SS Barry Church

  • FS Tashaun Gipson

  • LCB Marshon Lattimore (R1)

SPECIAL TEAMS

  • K Jason Myers

  • P/H Brad Nortman

  • LS Carson Tinker

  • KR Corey Grant

  • PR Marquis Lee

It'll be interesting to see if early free agency changes these projections.

Looking at that defensive lineup gives me goosebumps. We are building a monster.

Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.

Perhaps the monster can be monstrous, leading to wins, at long last

Unfortunately I don't really project a stating role for Dante Fowler, however, I do expect him to get plenty of playing time substituting as an edge player from various spots. I can see Jonathan Woodard sort of being his backup in the same role. ...basically a DPR who can play the run as well.

First it was Jamaal Adams. Now it's Marshon Lattimore. It's not happening.

It makes more sense than RB at #4.

That said, if they do go RB that early, it should probably be for McCaffrey. In that case I really hope they land Bouye for the LCB spot.

McCaffrey is not going in the top 5, 0% chance. He's a mid 1st at best, most likely late first round.

If they go RB at 4 it's going to be Fournette, and nobody else.

McCaffrey at 4 is just....lol...wow

It won't be Allen due to medicals and Campbell. It won't be Watson bc Jags. It won't be Adams bc Church or Latimore bc he ain't Dieone Sanders. Cook is not going top 4.

The pick is going to be Fournette.

I tend to agree the pick will be Fournette...but I'd like to still take Thomas at #4. Not sold that Miller can return to form after that injury

I would be great with either one of these:

1. Fournette

2. Tabor

3. Hodges

or

1. Thomas

2. Mixon

3. Hodges

Would prefer option 1 due to Mixon's history and risk and have a hunch Tabor will end up better than Bouye at a much cheaper price. Throw the money at Zeitler instead.

I like the Bucky Hodges move at TE. He's on my wish list. Solid player. I don't think Joe Mixon at RB happens with this regime though.

If I had to guess a RB that would be added on late through the draft I would say it's Brian Hill out of Wyoming or Corey Clement out of Wisconsin.

Pairing up Lattimore with Ramsey would be HUGE. I'd be just fine with that.

Woodard is a power  D end, he should fall in as Campbell's backup..6'5", 271, 4.89 40 time...He doesnt really fit the mold of a DPR..I think they either draft or sign a cheap-ish FA as the 3rd EDGE defender behind Yannick and Fowler..Unless they decide to keep Skuta in the dual role of backup LB/3rd EDGE guy..

I like it..

But if Lee is not the primary KR I am going to be sick. I still cant believe the level of incompetence it took to not have him there in his first two seasons. I mean, really? It look 3 years to give him even 1 chance to return kicks in a regular season game.
