I'm too lazy to list 10 at the moment (sorry) but I think a healthy Brandon Linder is the best football player on this roster.

I must not understand the premise.

Since Brunell left, we've been trying to replace him, and we finally have a shot at it.

How Bortles isn't #1 on all lists escapes me.

Because he isn't the team's best player... yet.

Breaking Jaguars passing records isn't what I would call a daunting task. It shouldn't have taken this long. The passing records here are pedestrian.

I thought about that a little bit.  The Allens are putting up gaudy numbers, Telvin is playing lights out, and Linder is a solid lineman and all, but I couldn't say for sure if any of them are top 20 at their positions in the NFL.  Blake clearly is now, and just keeps getting better.

He is also, by far, the hardest player to replace on the team.

Robinson is a top 10 NFL WR, nevermind top 20..

In terms of value to the jags and replace-ability - its Bortles all day. I do think Robinson is a better receiver than Blake is a QB (at this early juncture) and same with Telvin.

Still - the team would be in trouble w/o Blake right now despite his mistakes.

If you replace Bortls with Henne, how many games do you think we win?

If you replace Robinson with Walters, how many games do you think we win?

We probably have no wins with Henne considering every game we've won this season is because Blake led a 4th quarter comeback drive.

I agree that Bortles should be number 1 on everybody's list.

He is the MVP of this football team.

LOL @ the guy that said Linder is the best. A guard over a QB!

Bortles is number 1.

"Best" and "most important" are not mutually exclusive. Bortles is, hands down, the most important. Linder, in my opinion, is the best player on this team. Cry about it.

If you can't put Robinson as at top 20 WR, then you most certainly shouldn't be taken seriously.

The questions isn't who is the teams most valuable player. QB is just about always going to be the most valuable player. The question is who is the best player. I judge overall talent by comparing a player to other players (across the league) at one's position.
