I honestly don't like nicknames, but if has to have one Bortles Kombat should not be it. BB5 is okay. I guess I'm just old school in that we call a person by their name. I do kind of like they are calling him The Kid. I have no idea why though.

I always liked "Forehead".  Simple, effective, and get's the job done.

 

As for BB5's nickname, I gotta admit this:  If I was in the stadium and had a few Guinness Bombers in me right before Blake came on the field, and the PA system started playing the techno intro to Mortal Kombat, I would be hype sto scream out "BORTLES KOOOMBAATT!!!" at the top of my lungs!!  That would be pretty awesome, in all honesty.

 

But to me, it's easier on a MB to just call him Blake, or Bortles, or BB5.  But like I said, screaming out Bortles Kombat at the stadium the first time he trots on the field every Sunday could become a tradition I could totally get behind!  Let's just hope we have the real deal, and this guy becomes the face of the Jaguars for the next decade or 2.

Bortles Kombat is about the dumbest nickname I've ever heard.  It's long and lame.  How about we just don't use a nickname because just about ALL of the good QB's don't have nicknames.  The only good QB I can think of that is referred to as a nickname is Stabler.
