Yep. Looking at his stats (while they are terrible), they don't even tell the story. He was literally one of the worst, most useless players I have ever had to watch on any team.

Oh, absolutely. I'm not criticising him for throwing interceptions. It's an inevitability, and it's no sign of a poor QB. Brett Favre's first pass in the NFL was a pick six. (His first completion, as everyone knows, was a -7 yard completion to a somewhat unexpected receiver...). Bortles is in good company.

I'd have taken more interceptions from Henne earlier in the season if they'd come with some extended drives...

Agreed, you either can play QB or you cant sitting on the bench doesnt do a QB any good... but not having a horrible Oline and no receivers will not help Bortles stats or his health...

the Jaguars front office needs to think of a way to protect him fast..

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that acquiring higher quality offensive linemen will be priority #1 when draft time comes around again. As a matter of fact, I can't think of anything else that will even begin to approach the importance of getting good offensive line personnel this draft and F/A.... with a good (at least a decent) o-line, the whole face of Jaguar football will change for the better!

No, it's not. Now he needs to spend some time in the film room with Fisch on what he did wrong and he needs to make sure that it sinks in to the point where making that read properly and making the right throw is instantaneous.
