He wasn't suspended just because of this offense. People seem to be missing that. It's everything that lead up to it and all the other dumb [BAD WORD REMOVED] that he's done.

The entitled immaturity that Jameis is exhibiting is going to bite him in the Draft.

He could very well plumment to second day status and second day money.


What he does not realize is that the dawn of a new day in accountability is underway in the NFL and it won't take to much time for it to translate to the NCAA. Major/Minor Universities and their programs have a blank check to lower the hammer on players who get out of line. Many Major/Minor donors/boosters are also expressing their concerns and hinting about blank checks ala AB-NFL

If Jameis has another serious offense I will whole heartedly support the University immediately dissmissing him from FSU.

I mean a perp walk in front of ESPN, escorted by Troopers out of the dorm/gym into his car and scrape his sticker.

I have. I also work around young people everyday and I have not once heard or seen a kid do this.

 

Winston, like it or not (I think he loves it), is the face of the school. To pass this off as a little trend that young folk do now is extremely disingenious, and not doing Winston a favor in the least.

 

JTMoney, among others, have already expressed that this punishment has more to do with a build up of things over the last couple years. He kept getting a pass, and it leads to things like this that just make him, the school, and program look silly.

I said it was inappropriate because of his past incidents.  I do think it was slightly overblown though.  

 

I'd post the video of other kids doing it from youtube but it's not MB material.  If you work around kids, I'm sure it's as a mentor/coach/teacher and I doubt they'd say that around you.

 

1010 said he did it in a corner of the room with other athletes.  A couple of other students happened to be in there and reported it.  Pretty weak for them to do that if you ask me.

That's 100% true.  I went to FSU...if I heard some guy/girl yell that (especially since I knew about the Youtube video) I'd just laugh and keep walking.

I'm pretty sure nobody really reported it. I saw an article where about 10 kids posted it to Twitter and thats really how this came out. A couple of them said this was the first time they had seen it on campus and this is what caused them to see him.

I'm pretty sure those kids didnt put it on Twitter to rat him out....some college age kids on Twitter made it seem like it was pretty low class.

He didn't even do it right.  You are supposed to do it in front of a microphone.  Like if he did it during a post-game interview... now THAT would be funny.  What he did is childish and stupid.

I know I am going to sound like a broken record on rapid culture change of Jock Behavior, but it is here.
First and foremost, as the father of three daughters, I am insulted and Winston is clueless.
Jameis is on a short leash and does not know it or won't acknowledge it.

This year will be intresting to watch as it unfolds in both the NFL and NCAA.
