Was it on Lewis or Henne

Quote:It was the second drop by lewis that game looking into the sun. Quote:If his fingertips are considered his hands...it hit him in the hands. Consider that is the poster that invented a quote from Lewis that he quit on the team. He has a weird obsession with Lewis.

Quote:Consider that is the poster that invented a quote from Lewis that he quit on the team.I thought he had a pretty good game. I wish they had thrown to him more. Quote:If his fingertips are considered his hands...it hit him in the hands. OK. I looked at the game-rewind on this one again. It's true that he had to corral the ball with the fingertips of his right hand. He nearly did. He got the ball down to his left hand but never controlled it. It would have been one hell of a catch on a very bad throw. Quote:OK. I looked at the game-rewind on this one again. It's true that he had to corral the ball with the fingertips of his right hand. It was a horrible throw and really no excuse. Henne was not under any pressure and had all day to get it to him. Funny thing was, right after the play I said to my friend that the Lewis detractors would most certainly be spazzing. Quote:I had rewound that several times myself. I agree. Because even though he made a nice fingertip, one-handed snag, this was the end result. Soooooo close. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! That is a catch that would almost never gets made by any tight end in the league. But that is a throw that almost every quarterback in the league makes.

If the Henne would have ran it up field it was an easy conversion. Bad pass that really never should have been thrown IMO.
Looking to troll? Don't bother, we supply our own.
That was a complete gimme for Henne, and he overthrows him. Uncovered TE, 6'6" tall, 3 yards away, no pressure.
Sure, Marcedes could have made the catch, but it would have been a difficult catch on what should be a cake walk completion. That's on Henne. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:I think that might have been a different poster actually. You're right. Just double checked and it was Basshunter who invented the quit quote. Patel was the one adament that Lewis was not a locker room leader. I'm not sure if it is his salary but people get way too hung up on Lewis.

At that range, under no pressure, to that large a target, the throw was inexcusably poor. In baseball terms, error charged to the pitcher.
The same throw to every other TE in the league......maybe 1 in 4 come down with the ball? I wouldn't quite describe it as a catch-able ball. A catch definitely would have been highlights material, especially in that game situation.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.
The thing is, I'm not sure if Lewis would have caught it if it hit him in his hands.

Quote:The thing is, I'm not sure if Lewis would have caught it if it hit him in his hands. He does 90% of the time, so.....

; Quote:I stick up for Marcedes a lot.. but I think it was clearly his fault.Agreed. He should have hauled the pass in, just as another 5 or so passes that were catchable balls should have been caught. We know what we have in Henne. If he got the ball close enough to make the play, a guy getting paid what Lewis is to play a position where he's expected to be clutch should make that catch. That's the problem. We know Lewis is as reliable a catcher as Henne is a passer, so we put it in the hands of 2 guys who are bound to let you down, and in the end, they delivered. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:If the Henne would have ran it up field it was an easy conversion. Bad pass that really never should have been thrown IMO.That play was designed to go to Lewis the whole way. There was no option to run the ball. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:The thing is, I'm not sure if Lewis would have caught it if it hit him in his hands.Or if he had 4 hands. I like Marcedes, but he's not the guy you would tag with the "clutch" label. I would have had more confidence in seeing them go to one of the rookie receivers. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny. Quote:That was a complete gimme for Henne, and he overthrows him. Uncovered TE, 6'6" tall, 3 yards away, no pressure.Henne rushed the throw because Lewis was open. He lofted it wisely because of his tendency to have passes batted down at the line. It wasn't a great pass by any means, but if Lewis was a more reliable outlet, the odds of that ball being caught would have gone up exponentially. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
