Denard like Percy

I think the fact Denard Robinson as a former QB actually helps him in a similar way it helped former Penn State QB Michael Robinson as a fullback.

Quote:How many yards does he run before going out of bounds? Is there room to run in front of him? You should know going out of bounds does not always mean a guy is being lazy.

I didn't say that and I'm not knocking Harvin for going out of bounds.  He does what he does extremely well, but he's not cutting back to the middle of the field, or slowing up to freeze guys.  He runs to the outside that's what speed guys do.

He had 100 yards on 11 total touches Thursday rushing and receiving.  10 Fantasy Points.

Quote:Lol you watched Harvin one night and now your an expert on him?

I been watching Harvin since he was the number one recruit in high school, to the Gators and now the NFL, he has rare talent, for what he can do there is not another player in the NFL on his level, can be an outside WR, Slot WR, RB, split back, PR, KR, the guy is a game changer and one of the top 5 in the NFL at that

Yes he has a lot of speed, I never said he didn't.  But with that speed and if he's so great, why isn't he considered a "deep threat" you know especially since he can be an outside WR.  When in the pro game have you seen him behind the defense catching a bomb?

Yes he has deep threat speed and yes I seen him behind a defense catch a bomb, he's a multi purpose player, he isnt Mike Wallace where if he cant go deep he is useless. The player on our team that is closer to Harvin I would say is Maqise Lee, a player who can catch a short pass and juke and use his speed to break it long, or catch a pass down field like he did in the 4th preseason game from Bortles.

That's interesting.

If he was a deep threat that could stretch the field and go up for balls, he would be playing there much much more often, that's not who he is.  They hand him the ball, they pitch him the ball, and they throw him short passes in space.  They want him to have the ball in space, that's it.

Okay, it's not like I don't watch highlights every week from all the games.  Sorry, I didn't follow the vikings so closely.  He isn't used to get behind defenses, he's not known as a deep threat, because he's not physical and doesn't make difficult catches in traffic.  I know exactly what I'm watching a guy with dynamic exceptional speed who coaches try to get the ball in space on the outside or underneath.  It's not like there's a ton of footage of him running behind defenses adjusting to the ball, that's not his strength, in fact probably more one of his weaknesses.

I've said much more than both of yall, I'm thinking Gator homers.  Or just riding the buzz of the last couple days, certainly neither of you are taking an objective look or saying anything other than, "you don't know what your talking about, Harvin is great, one of the best, he can do everything, he can catch everything thrown anywhere near him, he fakes out everybody, runs through tackles all day, all he does is catch balls forty yards down the field, yada yada yada..."

Lee just doesnt have the physical strength that Harvin has, which is why Harvin can line up as a RB often and Lee prob couldnt

You haven't made a legitimate point yet much less evan began an arguement yet, I've said Harvin is great at what he does, you guys think because what makes him a great football player makes him great at every aspect of being a receiver and a running back, that simply isn't the case.  I don't think anyone would ever even think of Jerry Rice running a toss sweep starting from the slot position, doesn't mean he's not the GOAT.  But yeah, I'm clueless.  Find me some of those highlights of Harvin adjusting down field to those long passes, breaking some tackles, making a difficult catch in traffic, you know all those things I'm so clueless about.  You guys are gator clowns.

Its Ace who should be used like Percy. He has more short area elusivness and acceleration, and plus to have the element of surprise that "percy" type role on screens and out of the backfield really has to be a wr.

I'm curious.  How would you assess Robinson's catch radius?  Harvin's catch radius was just as good as Sidney Rice before he got injured.  Really good hands in traffic.  Carroll has given him the green light to return kicks every time he touches the ball.

If i had to grade it.. Incomplete.

He didn't even have full control/functionality of one of his hands last season

Im sceptical about this hand thing, why was he playing if his hand was so bad?
