Has Stephen Morris shown enough to be the PS QB?

Bingo. I'm not sure that anyone sees Morris as developing into a starter, even a solid backup, but he can emulate mobile QBs on the scout team, and that instantly makes him more valuable than Stanzi on the PS. I suspect Stanzi will be the "phone call away" guy who jumps off his tractor and into a uniform every time the Bouphone rings.

I agree they're both long shots. But if were gonna keep a 3rd QB on the PS, might as well be a better bum. Morris is terrible and he's in the same system he ran in college. Rather have Boyd.

No thanks.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Stanzi was a turnover machine in preseason and ineffective in his other drives. What makes him more desirable than Morris? I think both stink.

Not really. But he knows the system and his connection with Fisch makes him the most logical guy to sign to the PS

He is about as good as you will find that we can sign to our practice squad and he knows the system.

People are a bit delusional as to what kind of practice squad available talent is out there.

Was a supporter of Morris at one time, but he really hasn't shown much.

Pretty much.  Quite a few people don't understand the role that practice squad players have.  Very few are "developmental players" that eventually turn into stars in this league.  Most of them are "warm bodies" that mimic the next opponent.  In a sense, it can be said that practice squad players are "coached to lose".

With that being said, there are certainly some that come off of a team's practice squad that eventually have very good careers in the NFL.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Exactly. People act as if a practice squad QB should be starting material.
