Beadles coming this way

Pete and 99.5% of the media. Gabbert was pretty widely expected, up until a couple of days before the draft, to be the first overall pick. In retrospect, we know why he fell, but at the time Prisco and almost everyone else felt like the Jaguars had gotten a steal.

AM I the only one? Nope.

Seems you and one other person on here. It's just a guard. Chill.

My point was that Pete is almost always pro-Jaguars in his reporting. For him not to like this one raises an eyebrow

You and a guy who defended the Gabbert pick...

lol.

You have to overpay in FA, you're bidding against other teams, and 6M is not ridiculous at all. He's a solid guard that fits great in this scheme. Good signing.

So what makes you think he's right about Beatles?

Broncos dont run zone blocking anymore with Manning right? But being a weak link on a oline where Manning got sacked like 10 times and they had a 1000 rusher isnt really saying he is bad

Peyton Manning would make any oline look good.

WHen they ran ZBS pre Manning, Beadles had his worst season ever (per PFF) in 2011.

Pete isn't pro-Jaguar. He will say he hates everybody. He reports it like he sees it.

To twist this into him being pro-Jaguar AND disagreeing with this move to support your agenda is shady.

Well, In almost every higher profile Jags move I can remember reading his reporting on it has been pro Jags....maybe I missed some of the smaller disagreements he's had.

Pete is pro-passing QB. That is all he is pro about. Follow him on Twitter.

Guys, please stop letting TMD derail yet another thread with his Jag Bashing.  Ignore him.

Lol are we not allowed to have differing opinions on this board? TMDs concerns are completely reasonable and I agree with them.

TMD has a history of [BLEEP] on any decision made by the Jags. He is like the girlfriend that sits back to hen peck her old man while he drives.

I like how interior oline play was horrible last year. Jags sign a good guard and don't break the bank and yet people STILL complain. Just incredible.
Huh

Yeah, Pete used to rail on the Jags when they had JDR and were run first.  I guess you missed those years of his shows.

However, I do agree with you that ZB was overpaid.  I wouldn't have went over 4 or 5 million for him - similar to what Asamoah got.  I would have rolled with a draft pick at guard if this was our best option.
