What's next for Michael Vick?

Why not here? Really. Age and durability issues. Nah.

I would consider bringing him here if we drafted Manziel.

He might be a better fit than Henne when you need to build an offense around a mobile QB.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The only good player on the offensive line a scrambling QB needs is a good left tackle, unless he's left handed.

You are aware Vick is left-handed right?

Dude sucks royally as a human being and is only marginally better as a QB. He deserves Oakland. Actually he deserves worse than that, but Oakland makes sense to me.

Horribly overrated in his prime, a liability now, I'd rather have Henne.

Injured, old Vick > Henne.     Get Vick Caldwell by any means necessary.

He'd also be better than any QB in this draft in 2014.  His services shouldn't break the bank.

That being said... unfortunately I think they'll be looking at younger QBs.

Vick has been bad for several years now, and he's become brittle.  Something that will happen with all of your current running QBs eventually.

If all we can say is that he's better than Henne, that's not a great endorsement.  Come on.  He wasn't even playing well with the Eagles, a much better team.  We're still a team, if you are being realistic, that is another year away from being any kind of contender.  He had one good 3/4 of a season with the Eagles and fell apart in the playoffs.  Did you see that game?  It was ugly.  He was good with Atlanta early but never approached his first year's performance until he was with the Eagles.  He's not good anymore and I don't know if he was ever really that good.

That's just my opinion.  Everybody is entitled to there's.

Vick has been a bad passer for several years. A bad quarterback, I don't think I can agree. Actually, he was a pretty good one. Overrated, but definitely a top 10 QB in his prime as far as handling an offense went.

I actually don't think he's that bad of a passer either. He's really no worse than Garrard was.

He has thrown for 3000 yards exactly twice in his career.  He has played 16 games in a season one time.  Never been great at reading defenses and has questionable decision making skills.  Still has some wheels, but he is a step slower than he used to be.

Oh..  and he's a feces bag.

Top 10 QB is highly debatable. He is one of the most over-hyped QBs I have ever seen, all because he is a tremendous ATHLETE. He is average at best, and the statistics bear it out.

Quote:Because he's an aging, injury-prone QB with a history of felonies and an ego the size of Wolfson Park (is that still there?). Henne's a better fit at this point.

I've liked Hill as a backup for a long time, but not so much as a starter, even of the temporary variety. I don't think he has the physical measurables to succeed in the role, even if he's got the moxie for it.

Vick is a convicted felon with a history of utter disregard for life. The fact that he's allowed to own any dog again, let alone a Belgian Malinois (a breed that can be trained to be violent), is a joke. I don't want him within 50 miles of Jacksonville. I don't think he should be within 50 miles of any NFL stadium. He should have been banned for life after killing dogs by drowning or electrocuting them, engaging in dogfighting (illegal gambling) and lying to federal investigators about it. His career should have ended when he was convicted, and to this day I don't know why he was ever reinstated.

Even if that's taken out of the equation, I don't think he's worth the trouble for the Jaguars. As I said earlier, Henne's a better fit for the build of this team, even if he's not quite as mobile as what you'd think of as the ideal Bradley/Fisch QB.
He did his time and served his punishment. He's done nothing buy good for Philadelphia since he arrived there in 2010. The community loves him.

Your hate towards him makes no sense. People can change.

I'm not sure I agree with you.  He'd be better for the 5 games he plays, maybe.

That's a valid point.  He's no spring chicken.

That's what I believe is the biggest knock against the idea.  They are going young so I don't expect him to be pursued, though I do think he could help.

Debatable, maybe, but not highly, Vick was good the last couple of seasons. He has definitely improved as a passer, and his run game hasn't disappeared. There is no doubt that he is above average in this league, and also no doubt that he would be an significant improvement for our team. He is 33 and probably will experience a decline by the time hes 35. But as a one or two year stop gag, he is better than what else is out there.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

Dude get over it, the man did his time. Its a good thing your not the commissioner, because everybody deserves a second chance. Everybody makes mistakes, Im sure you've made some. Vick has said multiple times  that he regrets what he's done and he's learned from it, move on dude. You don't know the man personally, if he wants to own a dog then he can. Nothing you can you about that.

Say what?  Good the last couple of seasons?  He's been awful, even when he's healthy.  He had one good 3/4 of a year for the Eagles in 2010 and crumbled in the playoffs.  The last two years he's been hurt more than healthy and he's been pretty bad.  I don't know what Michael Vick you've been watching.
