Blackmon To Enter Rehab

Quote:I think they've done studies that back up the claim of weed not having an addictive componets to it. That said it's possible people become dependent on the high it provides. wrong. The studies show that is a drug of dependence, albeit not as bad as heroin, cocaine etc.

Quote:Those people have addicition problems, if it was the substance then anyone who drinks a beer at a football game would be an addict. It's NEVER about drinking at a football game. It's ALWAYS about how much a person drinks whether it's at a football game or on their couch... The fans that I encounter during a game due to drinking are likely to get a DUI if they are driving away from the stadium... I drink and drink often but I know my limits. I don't like the feeling of being Sloppy Drunk. I've been drunk twice in my life to which both times were within the military... I Made A Choice.. NH3...

The fans that I encounter during a game due to drinking are likely to get a DUI if they are driving away from the stadium... That's kind of my point, with alcohol you can make a choice, you do crack, heroin, concain, choice become less of a factor. Now for some people alcohol is just as addictive as the heavy drugs but it's because of personality traits or issues within that individual, not the substance itself. Quote:I keep hearing this, yet I know several people who seemingly can't go a day without making sure they have their daily well, you know...Marijunia is a Gateway Drug. Once a person can no longer get high on Tweed, they advance to the Bigger and Better narcotics. Tweed is NOT addictive. I've NEVER encountered a TWEED Rehab program or should I say a person entering a rehab program due to a TWEED Addiction... NH3...

Personally I don't think pot is addictive, but I wouldn't be surprised if for some personalities it created a dependency, like I said some poeple get addicted to caffine. Some personalities are just subject to dependency, moderation is something those people struggle with.

I've tried it all, fortunately nothing makes me into a raving fiend who'll whack his mother for a hit, and by extrapolation don't think I'd toss a 23 million dollar contract for a drink. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

I wonder if a nice long talk with Cris Carter would give him some perspective. Talking to someone who's been in his shoes can't hurt.
Quote:First of all, alcohol is not a "casual drug". It is actually a highly addictive drug. Addiction isn't about the drug, it's about the personality.I was not saying alcohol is not addicting. I am saying most people who drink it are not addicted. I was saying if he was using it as an addictive sense or casually ![]()
Time for the new Jaguars to cut their losses. Justin Blackmon is the same old song all over again.
You never want to take a chance on a guy that finds his courage by using drugs and/or alcohol. Besides he told all of Jacksonville he was sorry and it wouldn't happen again. Just one more reason for David Caldwell to dump the Gene Smith scouting department. Gratz can start right away, they said. Ace Sanders is a weapon, they said. Denard Robinson is a weapon, they said. Saboteurs use weapons, too. Come on, Caldwell. Sweep the scouting department clean. This latest draft class is just as bad as any of Gene Smith's previous drafts.

Cannabis addiction is a real thing with rehabilitation programs. And yes there is even withdrawl symptoms. The grade of stuff people get today is insanely potent.
