I think they've done studies that back up the claim of weed not having an addictive componets to it. That said it's possible people become dependent on the high it provides.

Those people have addicition problems, if it was the substance then anyone who drinks a beer at a football game would be an addict.

 

Some substances, IE Heroin, Cocaine, Nicotine, are extremely addictive and everyone that uses them usually ends up addicted, that's not the case with alcohol.

It's NEVER about drinking at a football game. It's ALWAYS about how much a person drinks whether it's at a football game or on their couch... The fans that I encounter during a game due to drinking are likely to get a DUI if they are driving away from the stadium...

Marijunia is a Gateway Drug. Once a person can no longer get high on Tweed, they advance to the Bigger and Better narcotics. Tweed is NOT addictive. I've NEVER encountered a TWEED Rehab program or should I say a person entering a rehab program due to a TWEED Addiction...

Personally I don't think pot is addictive, but I wouldn't be surprised if for some personalities it created a dependency, like I said some poeple get addicted to caffine. Some personalities are just subject to dependency, moderation is something those people struggle with.

First of all, alcohol is not a "casual drug".  It is actually a highly addictive drug.  Addiction isn't about the drug, it's about the personality.

Cannabis addiction is a real thing with rehabilitation programs. And yes there is even withdrawl symptoms. The grade of stuff people get today is insanely potent.
