Where would yall rank this years QB class to last years if Herbert and Haskins come out? I think it pretty close. Herbert, Haskins, Grier, Lock are all guys that could go early. Mayfield being the best but after that it's pretty close with Rudloph, Rosen, and Darnold

Mayfield, Rosen, Darnold and Allen.
I think we should go BPA for the first pick and worry about QB next year. I know it seems awful but none of the QB's this year wow me, while next year seems like a QB dream class!
I'm no expert, but if I had to rank the QBs of the upcoming and last draft class:
1. Mayfield 2. Darnold 3. Haskins 4. Rosen 5. Herbert 6. Grier 7. Jackson 8. Allen (I've never been high on Allen) I think Mayfield is clearly the best, but Haskins isn't far behind as a complete prospect. It's hard to find holes in Haskins' game.

I'd never take a QB under 6' tall. That's a hard cutoff line from me. I'd try him at RB. I see Ryan Finley as the guy who will start shooting up boards as we get closer to the draft. What you guys think about him?

I think he's probably an upgrade to what we have if he can learn a playbook fairly quickly and start by midseason of his rookie year. I do have some concern about his velocity. The intermediate and deep stuff seems to be lacking a bit of zing. Need to see more of him to get a read on whether it'd be a real issue at the next level or not.

I think this kid is special and yes, at this point, I'm even rating him above Rudolph and Mayfield, who I were extremely high on last year. If Haskins comes in and sits for a year, I believe he can have the same impact that Goff and Mahomes have had in their second year in the league. Goff, now in his 3rd season, has even gotten better and I expect Mahomes to do the same in 2019. Haskins just has something. I can't put my finger on it, but he checks all the boxes. I just wouldn't rush him into a starting role.

That wasn't going to happen. Roethlisberger will be the starter in Pittsburgh as long as he plays well and I don't see any signs of him slowing down. With that said, Rudolph is in perfect position to learn the game from one of the best QB's of all time and he will be the starter when Ben moves on. Then, he will show just how good he is. He just had the benefit of going to a good team where he didn't have to start right away. |
