Bryon hate?  I don't hate Byron but I was happy as hell almost 20 yrs ago when Garrard took over.  The QB position was upgraded by a good margin.  You thought Bryon was a good QB for us?  Lol.  As far as coaching, do I think he could be a good coach 5 to 10 years down the road?  Maybe.  Do I think he is ready to be a head coach right now?  No

Pederson certainly turned this team around fast, which is something that I don’t think Leftwich could have done as he would have been learning on the job.  But he was always considered a strong Xs and Os and film guy, which would seem like something you’d want in a coach.  I have no problem admitting that I was on board with Leftwich as he seemed to fit the trend of the ‘young blood’ entering the HC ranks.

To say they ‘dodged a bullet’ is a bit of an exaggeration.

Good for Keenan ... Would love to see him do well. I don't remember the board being united in tooooo many things down the years but there was definitely a collective head in hands when he was allowed to leave!

Like the post said, if we were a run first team until Trevor figured it out we would have at least 3 more wins right now. Dougs pay calling gave a few games away earlier in the year. He was still figuring his team out and the players were still learning the system

You take those lumps and you learn from them. By Doug allowing Trevor to throw all day, it instilled confidence in him. If they would have made him a game manager, that would have been Doug essentially saying they don’t trust him.

Yup Doug said so himself early on in the year. Can't remember which week exactly, but I wanna say week 5 or 6 or around there. Thinking maybe after the texans loss.

Reporters asked him if he had thoughts/plans to go more run heavy on Offense and he shut that down real fast. He said that in the future, this is how they'll want Trevor to run the Offense (pass first) and in order to do that correctly in the future, they have to do it/learn it right now. You deal with the growing pains along the way. Can't learn it if you don't do it. Can't correct the mistakes if you don't have a chance to make them in the first place.
