I'm super stoked with everything but let's be honest here guys, you can't just throw around the term "elite" like that.


We don't have 1 elite player but that's ok. We are the youngest team in the league. We aren't really supposed to have elite players yet. We have about 8 guys with elite potential though. That's more than a lot of teams.

Not to mention guys like our new DE, Amukamara, Roy Miller / Alualu and forgotten man Marqise Lee .... BUT Lee is good example of how injuries prevent potential to turn into performance. What we have is potential, proof is to be come autumn

Dude. Linder has only played 1 season.


Most of those guys have the potential to be but currently are not elite.


Rodgers is elite. Sherman is elite. Julio and Antonio Brown are elite. Guys who have been doing it for years.

It may take time for all these guys to gel together on D. Tons of talent there now, but we might be disappointed early in the season especially against the top QB's we'll be facing. Hopefully the offense is up to the task of carrying the team for a bit.

This team isn't elite yet. I absolutely LOVE what they have done thus far in the draft (and almost every draft since Smith was let go) but they are still not in the elite category. IF the offense can build off of last year and the D can become top 10 they have a legitimate shot at winning the division. That said, they still aren't in the Patriots, Denver, Seattle, GB, or even Arizona class but again I LOVE what they are doing! Finally!!! They are on the right track!

I would say they have the potential to be elite in the future, but not this year.  These young guys will have learning pains just every other rookie does.  I do think that we are building something special though.  I think that Dave does a great job at looking at future drafts and being prepared for which side of the ball to focus on.  I think this has played a big part in being able to obtain all the talent that we have through the draft.

Team is better, potential is there but we are not the only team adding players via the draft, everybody is getting better, which I think some fans get blinded upon assessing the team following the draft.
