Would you trade the #5 pick?

Unless we could stay within the top 10 and receive another 1st rounder next year and maybe another 3rd/4th this year, I wouldn't do it. Even though we have a decent player base, we still have some positions that need to be filled asap. But if we could move back to top 10 still and receive another 1st next year and another later pick, I might pull the plug on it.
GO JAGS!!
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!
I'd trade the #5 pick... we could use as many draft picks as possible. I don't see Caldwell as the trading down type, though. If a top defensive player is there, DC will take him.
No commercial messages in sigs
I don't see a situation where there will be a lot of buzz about getting into that 5 spot from other teams. Most teams jump to get a QB. Browns are going to pick Goff or Lynch and Dallas will pick which ever one is left over at four. They are talking about finding the guy to play after Romo is done.
The only hope could be that Dallas really is still in love with Johnny 12 Steps and they trade for him thinking he can turn into their heir apparent. Unlikely but it is Jerrah. Then the fight would be between Dallas and the Jags as to who can strike a deal with other teams so they can move up and get the leftover top QB prospect. The only way we'd get a good deal for the number five pick would be if Bosa drops to us.
Don't think anyone else is so special that someone will move up. And if Bosa falls to us, we'd be crazy to give him up.

There are some other teams that need defensive ends. Quote:You just gave me a nightmare: a team making a leapfrog trade for Joey Bosa. There are some other teams that need defensive ends. The Ravens are sitting at pick #6. They have the same defensive holes as the Jags: Pass rush/Secondary. According to their fans (because we truly never know what a team's FO will do), they want Bosa first and foremost. I could definitely see the Ravens trading up a few spots to grab Bosa, knowing the Jags would take him if they didn't jump over Jax. Their fans are also enamored with Ramsey. I could envision the Ravens making a move over Jax to acquire him too if Bosa is already gone. Similar to what the Vikings did to Houston when they jumped ahead of them for Bridgewater,, the Ravens sitting at #6 and needing the same defensive positions as Jax could be a potential problem for the Jags during the draft.

Of course the Ravens will not say what their intentions are. Smokescreen season begins before the Senior Bowl. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Top 10 draft order:
1. Titans 2. Browns 3. Chargers 4. Cowboys 5. Jaguars 6. Ravens 7. 49ers 8. Dolphins 9. Buccaneers 10. Giants If you don't want to stay at #5, who would you want to trade with? Which team are you most afraid of being leapfrogged by? Quote:Of course the Ravens will not say what their intentions are. Smokescreen season begins before the Senior Bowl. Of course the Ravens FO would never state their intentions. I'm just going off of what their fans would like. I read their forum alot, and most of their fans want Bosa,Ramsey,VH3 just like the Jags fans do. When you mentioned other teams jumping ahead of the Jags to grab Bosa (or someone esle), it immediately made me think of the Ravens at #6 maybe jumping the Jags to take a player they think Jacksonville might want. I'd really hate it if that happened,, especially for Bosa.

If a team jumps over us to get him, it better not be Baltimore. Same thing with the Cowboys, who also need defensive line help. I would not want them to pick Bosa at #4 regardless of Jacksonville's pick number. That is the problem with high draft picks. Players look awesome in college and terrible in the NFL partly because they are picked by the worst teams. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I highly doubt the Ravens trade up. Just doesn't seem like their style. This time I'm going to respectfully disagree Unless the Ravens are able to sign a FA like Gipson or Nelson I expect them to make a move for Ramsey unless they really like VHIII Dallas looks to be in great position to move down if they want Quote:This time I'm going to respectfully disagreeThey're kinda like us. They have many holes. Giving up draft picks does them no good. They need WR Safety DLine Corner....

When's the last time Ozzie has traded up? Maybe never Quote:Not to mention, they're not gonna move up to draft a safety. It wouldn't shock me if they did for a player like Bosa. Okay, maybe not Ramsey, but I could see it for Bosa. - Suggs is coming back next year, but he's on his last year or two. - They drafted a WR with their first pick last year (B. Perriman). He didn't see the field because of injury this year. But I'd be surprised if they go WR again in the 1st round two years in a row. Plus, they get SSS back for another (prob his last) season. -Their secondary was atrocious for most of the year, due to injury and bad play. If Ramsey or Hargreaves is there at #6 I bet they pull the trigger. Maybe they won't jump a couple spots up, but it wouldn't surprise me if they think the Jags will take the guy they want. You gotta remember too, the Ravens are normally near the middle-late picks of the round. This time they are higher than I can remember. Jumping up a couple spots is much different than jumping from the end of the round into an early slot. We'll see what Ozzie does.
Would the Ravens trade with the Cowboys just to leapfrog us? You also have to look at what the Cowboys need. They might want the same players the Ravens do.
