NFL.com listed Allen Robinson as a Pro Bowl snub. You gotta love seeing someone in the media has the opinion he should have been voted in. I agree with all of this:
Allen Robinson, wide receiver, Jaguars <p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">Breakout years are too often ignored by Pro Bowl voters comfortable with big names. And this was Robinson's breakout season, with 1,141 yards and 13 scores thus far. He is one of the best at high-pointing the ball in tight coverage and is statistically the best big playmaker in the league. He has 26 plays over 20 yards. No other receiver has more than 21 such plays. The receiver position is stacked this year, but Robinson had a better season than Calvin Johnson. Quote:I feel pretty confident ARob will go, someone will drop out. I would be surprised if Calvin Johnson plays in the Pro Bowl. Especially, since he's been dealing with an ankle injury since the game against the Chiefs in London.
Quote:A Rob will go if he stays injury free. He will go if someone else gets hurt, wins a conference championship game, or simply does not want to play. Simply staying healthy is not good enough for first alternates. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Lol at Calvin Johnson, what is this 2009? Not sure why your surprised, this happens every pro bowl.
Quote:LOL at Calvin Johnson, what is this 2009? LOL He had what, one catch against the NFL's worst pass defense? This is a perfect example of why fan votes should not be allowed. They just care about the names, not who the best players are.

Bortles and Robinson were snubbed again, this time for the Pro Bowl. Add Telvin in there as well.

I'm not saying Calvin Johnson had a Pro Bowl season. But did you notice the coverage the Saints used against him last night? I'll gladly take a 1 catch game from the # 1 WR on the team when 35 points are put on the scoreboard.
Quote:Remember, A-Rob didn't get snubbed by just the fans. Coaches and players each had 1/3 of vote as well. So how do you explain the fact that players get tens or hundreds of thousands of votes when there are not nearly that many coaches and players? Obviously when that happens, most voters must be fans, right?
The Pro Bowl is a joke.
Telvin, Blake, and Allen are all playing at a Pro Bowl level. Marks was doing the same thing last year. If Linder was healthy, he would be snubbed too. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Arobs Twitter.

You either die as a good poster, or live long enough to become the troll.

Quote:The portion of the fans vote only counts as 1/3 (33.3.%) of the voting total. How is that possible?

Obviously when that happens, most voters must be fans, right?1 coach or player vote accounts for more than 1 fan vote. Fans, coaches, and players each have 1/3 of vote. But yes, most voters are fans.

Quote:How is that possible? It's determined by the NFL. The league counts the fans totals, players totals, and coaches totals as equals in the voting process.
Quote:Seriously, was anyone surprised? I was. Robinson should have made it along with Telvin and Blake. |
