Jags up to pick #4

Quote:Using the ESPN Playoff Machine for a likely finish and looking at the bottom teams, I'm thinking we pick 10th (7th at the earliest)...Jaylon Smith territory.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Also, why should we do it in the first round if Vernon Hargreaves is available for the picking? We have 7 rounds to play with and can trade picks in all of them. He did say it that way. You just didn't read it that way. That's the way I read it.

Because it is silly to think we will stay at #5, our current pick number according to NFL.com, we need to root for these teams today:
Chargers (3-9) Ravens (4-8) Cowboys (4-8) Lions (4-8) Saints (4-8) Rams (4-8) 49ers (4-8) Don't worry about the Browns, who already have 10 losses. Obviously we can't root for Tennessee (3-9).

I posted it in another thread. Do you really have Baltimore and San Fran winning more than six games?
I wonder if there will be a coin flip at the combine. Right now there are a lot of 4-8 teams.

Adding Baltimore would mean a 6-10 record would have the Jaguars picking between 8 and 11. I do have the Eagles, Raiders and Falcons with 7 or more wins.

When you look at a team's strength of schedule, is that based on just the games to date or are remaining games included?

Quote:I wasn't even looking at that... probably should have. I did not look at it either, but do know other teams have weaker schedules than ours.
Quote:There are 10 teams with 4 or lower wins in the NFL. We'd have to lose out to even have a chance (and last year the 4-12 teams picked 5th and 6th anyway). It's not going to happen. And even if it does, it's definitely no likely. We're on the verge of defying all logic...
Both San Francisco and San Diego are hanging in their games. If both win, we get the fourth overall pick. If either one wins, we end up with the fifth pick.
Now its up to Gabbert to get us the 5th pick
