Be honest: Anyone regretting not taking Gurley?
|
I think TJ Yeldon has played okay for a 2nd round pick behind a weak oline. He is no Maurice Jones-Drew but then again who is really?
Its all what if scenarios that really mean nothing other than to question the GM Dave Caldwell's choices in the draft. If you are going to do what ifs, then you have to do the what if Fowler Jr never got injured and wind up the rookie of the year and the defensive player of the year along with his first probowl appearance and MVP? Sure it sounds very unlikely but that is the problem with what if questions... We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Quote:I'm fine with our picks. What? You aren't throwing chairs across the room over players the Jaguars didn't draft? Did you know the Jaguars passed on Amari Cooper? Not sure if you did.

; Quote:@theall22 fowler was definitely not a pure needs pick. If anything he was a perfect combination of need and was also the BAP according to pretty much any analyst. Fowler was regarded as the best player in the whole draft by many. If we took Gurley that would've been a needs pick more than a BAP so you are kinda backwards. Anybody we took would have been a needs pick, lol. Who said he was the best overall player?
I will be shocked if Gurley's body holds up to the beating its going to take in the NFL. That's the biggest thing about taking a running back that high to me. It's a huge risk.
Quote:there is literally no way for you to justify why you think fowler will be an all-pro other than that you're a gato homer.Using that logic, saying Gurley "will probably end up in first ballot HOF discussion" after playing in 3 games makes you a Bulldog homer. I think it's just a little early for that kind of talk about either of them. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:who the hell told you fowler is a von miller clone?? maybe von miller without the bend and explosive power that makes him von miller :/Considering Fowler at Florida was used very similarly to the way Von Miller is used now, not a far-fetched comparison. The biggest difference between the two is that Miller is more agile where Fowler plays at a slightly heavier weight. Another big difference is that Von Miller is a true 3-4 OLB in his system, where Dante Fowler Jr will basically be an extra 4-3/3-4 hybrid pass rusher. But coming out? Absolutely. Comparable players.
THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. Quote:Considering Fowler at Florida was used very similarly to the way Von Miller is used now, not a far-fetched comparison.Von Miller was about as elite of an athlete as you can get, 90th+ percentile athlete. Fowler is about a 30th percentile athlete. They aren't very comparable at all. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I'm sure Teddy had some kind of percentage of cake eaten, nose picked and scrote scratched.. I'm sure Von has similar numbers.. Quote:Give it a rest man it's not draft season right now. Quote:So because it's not draft season you're allowed to make blatant falsities like saying Fowler and Von Miller are comparables? I didn't make any comparisons. I'm just saying we hear enough about your "percentiles" during draft season and none of it means anything until Fowler plays and we see what he's got.

I'll save a verdict until Fowler has had a year to play.
My opinion before the draft was that Fowler was very overrated and Gurley was a generational running back. I feel that Fowler lacks pass rush ability and can't defeat blocks when he isn't being schemed as a free rusher. I say this as a Gators fan... |
