Philbin Fired
|
Quote:By all accounts, Philbin lost the players. Gus hasn't had that happen yet which is why he'll get at least until the end of the year.and he probably never will lose them. The problem is Seattle Gus and Jacksonville Gus are two different people. He doesn't hold them accountable, it's all rah rah, good job, progress, journey yada yada. Never DO YOUR JOB! STOP MAKING DUMB MISTAKES! GET YOUR HEADS IN THE GAME! None of that. He needs to get serious with them and stop being their buddy. I personally don't see it ever happening but maybe he will get fired up before he gets fired period. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:We'll announce it once all the good replacement candidates are taken ^This is about right. Jags need to get with the program and move this franchise forward. Bradley needs to go. Quote:They just fired their HC. Where is the Jaguars announcement? Hey, genius (the same guy who puts "gull" in the title) - who you got to replace him? Who has just been fired for failing do you want to hire?
The sun's not yellow, it's chicken.

The results are speaking for themselves. Morons like you are what really drives this team down. Just keep sticking with the losers ![]()
Miamis coach had something like a 25-28 record right? Thats not good enough for Miami so they fire him, Bradly has hoe many wins during his tenure? And is there anyone adide from the usuals like FBT and Shack Del Rio who can tell me this team is close to a playoff team? Why is it once again the jags who are patient which horriblebess? Man this franchise is a joke. Thank god apathy sat in a long time ago and now I can mostly just join in on the joke that we are alongside every one else. Doesnt natter who we draft in the top 3 this tear either because we either have no clue how to turn that talent into anything or, they get hurt. Another year down the drain with 0 reason to believe any real winning is coming soon

Quote:You shouldnt be proud of a 13-16 win against a bad team anyway, especially with the impotence in the 2nd halfI'd be a heck of a lot more proud of a 16-13 win over a bad team than a 16-13 loss to said team.

We act like the fact he hasn't lost them means that he still has a chance to be Vince Lombardi. The only reason he hasn't lost them is because he doesn't make them accountable. What player wouldn't love a coach that just makes them feel justified every time they don't perform? Very few pro players love a coach that holds their feet to the fire when they underperform.

Quote:....on this board? They probably meant gull.I get really tired of the fellow member bashing that happens on this board (even being brand new), but this made me laugh pretty hard. Well done.
Just to outline how dysfunctional the Dolphins organization is, they fired Tony Sparano before the season was over in 2011, appointed Todd Bowles as the interim (the guy coaching NYJ now), let him go when they brought in Philbin, and now have fired Philbin before mid season this year.
What exactly did firing Sparano in season do for the Dolphins organization way back in 2011 that lead them to the "successful run" we're witnessing today? Did it give them a head start or hiring the best candidate? Did it give them an opportunity to see what the interim guy could do? If the answer is yes then why are the Dolphins firing yet another coach mid season? Gull that.
