***Official Jaguars Vs. Dolphins Game Day Thread***

Quote:Listening to all the NFL shows this morning takes me back to 1994, the year before the Jaguars existed. I don't blame them, given our recent history, but there's not a mention of us.

No respect, and none deserved.........
You have to do something to make people talk about you. Nobody talked about the tacks until Mariota happened last week.

If we lose this game, the season is over. We aint beating NE or Indy, and that puts us at 0-4.

That's how I've been watching the games the past several years!!
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???

I just don't want to hear Gus talking about "missed opportunities", "have to get better", "see some good things" etc...

Not this game. Maybe next week... but not this game.

Quote:Jacksonville's last regular, and only, regular season win so far in the rivalry over Miami was actually during the Jaguars inaugural season. Fred Taylor scored two TD runs from 77 yards and 2 yards in the first half, while Mark Brunell threw two touchdown passes to Keenan McCardell from 23 and 56 yards in the second half, to upset Miami at the Altell Stadium by the score of 28-21 in the Jaguars first season in the NFL, back on October 12, 1998.

Anyone else see anything wrong with this paragraph?

Did you watch the Indy game? They looked horrid!
You either die as a good poster, or live long enough to become the troll.

We don't have Buffalo's defense... or a coach as good as Sexy Rexy

Well, earlier in this thread we talked about the Jaguars having won in 2006.

The first statement I agree with but the the second has to be sarcasm...

He's had better teams. To say he's better than Gus can be misleading. I still don't think either are head coaches.

This is true, but I think Rex is a decent head coach, atleast. Great defensive mind, for sure.

I'm still saying the Jaguars can go 1-3. While I was compelled to pick the Dolphins this week, I'm not overly confident with that pick. The Jaguars very well have a shot at pulling out the upset. But yeah the Dolphins looked like they didn't have their act together this preseason, and when they played the Bills last week they looked the same. If they can't get it together in the next couple weeks, I'm really liking the Jaguars chances to go up there and secure a W. Now this means getting our own act together with no new big injuries, but Lee should have a couple games behind him, Joekel should be fine by then along with Cyp and Grantz, and most importantly the game should be the season debut for Julius Thomas and Sen'Derrick Marks.

While I do honestly forsee an 0-3 start, the Panthers, Dolphins and Patriots are tough teams that should help the Jaguars perfect their own game on both sides of the ball. Gus recently talked about owning the AFC South, and you know he wants to back up his word on that. When we go up to Indy in a couple weeks, I see the team looking at that game like an early Super Bowl, especially if it means avoiding an 0-4 start. If I had to pick that game right now, I'm picking the Jaguars.

This week, let's just say there's reason for hope but no need to get carried away. I really just want to see them play well win or lose. No more stupid mistakes and drops. If Yeldon gets going again early, by all means keep feeding him. I expect Blake to look more like he was playing this preseason, and I expect easy catches and field goals to be made. As for Gus, I expect some friggin halftime adjustments for once... is that too much ask?
