Hi, Jaguars fans! Smile Our Jacksonville Jaguars will try to rebound from their home loss last week, and try to improve later on Sunday, as the Jags host the visiting Miami Dolphins, in the eighth NFL regular season battle of Florida's AFC teams. Dolphins enters later this afternoon leading the all-time regular series 4 games to 3.

Jaguars seek to improve from last season's 3-13 record in their second game later this Sunday afternoon, and try to do a better performance from their last meeting played at EverBank Field played on October 26, 2014. Rookie QB Blake Bortles completed 18 of his 34 passes for 221 yards, but he gave up two interceptions, each from 81 and 22 yards by the Dolphins Louie Delmas and Brent Grimes, for Miami's 27-13 win over Jacksonville. Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill also completed 16 of his 29 passes for 196 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT.

Jaguars are seeking to end both their three-game regular season losing streak to their Florida intrastate rivals, the Dolphins, and win their first game during the regular season, since defeating the Tennessee Titans by the score of 21-13, and played at EverBank Field back on December 18, 2014. Miami outscored Jacksonville by the score of 65-26 in their last three regular season games.

Jaguars last home win over the Miami Dolphins in Jacksonville was actually during the AFC Divisional Playoff Game with the Dolphins, where the Jaguars dominated the Dolphins 62-7 back on January 15, 2000. Jags QB's Mark Brunnell and Jay Fiedler combined for 277 yards of total offense, while the Dolphins Dan Marino threw 11 of 25 passes for 95 yards, gave up a fumble where Tony Brackens, returned 16 yards for a Jaguars touchdown, and threw 2 INT's in Marino's last game as a player in the NFL.

Jacksonville's last regular, and only, regular season home win played at EverBank Field so far in the rivalry over Miami was actually during the Jaguars 1998 NFL regular season, their fourth season as an active franchise in the NFL. Fred Taylor scored two TD runs from 77 yards and 2 yards in the first half, while Mark Brunell threw two touchdown passes to Keenan McCardell from 23 and 56 yards in the second half, to upset Miami at the Altell Stadium by the score of 28-21 in the Jaguars first season in the NFL, back on October 12, 1998.

This afternoon's broadcasting team of Andrew Catalon, former Bills defensive back Steve Tasker, and former Jaguars QB Steve Beuerlein, are announcing this afternoon's Jaguars/Dolphins game for The NFL On CBS, live on HD.. All three broadcasters together announced five games for The NFL On CBS involving our Jaguars (Weeks 1, 4, 6, 7, 8) and also announced the last Jaguars/Dolphins game played in Jacksonville back on October 26, 2014. Most of Florida and Georgia are only viewing this afternoon's Jaguars/Dolphins game.

Frank Frangie is also announcing the live radio game play-by-play, along with former Jaguars players Jeff Lageman and Tony Boselli as game color analysts, simulcast on flagship stations WJXL-AM 1010XL, and WJXL 92.5FM Jax Sports Radio, and the 18-station Jaguars Radio Network throughout Florida and Southern Georgia.

A mix of partly cloudy and clear skies at 89 degrees, feels like 95 degrees, is the local game cast inside EverBank Field, for the 4:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, along with 0% precipitation, 51% humidity, and mild northeastern winds at 6 miles per hour.

Visiting Dolphins are wearing their aqua green jerseys, and white pants, while the host Jaguars are wearing their matching white jerseys and pants.

NO injuries, hope Blake Bortles can lead the offense more productively and convicingly on the field today, and the defense can both stop the run and pass and cause turnovers, and GO JAGUARS!!!!! B) Smile ^_^

"Jacksonville's last regular, and only, regular season win so far in the rivalry over Miami was actually during the Jaguars inaugural season."

What? We beat them in 2006.

I thought I recalled a more recent win over them in the regular season.

It was most memorable for the fact that MJD got stopped on the goal line under a pile of Dolphin defenders then magically appeared in the endzone a few moments later.

Just hoping the offense does something. Last game I actually found myself checking my phone during our offensive series. Hopefully with a week under our belts, things will start to click.

I'll be watching this game like a teenage girl watching a slasher flick: hugging a pillow and covering my eyes when the inevitable blood-letting occurs.

Can we forfeit the game ? Blush

I just don't want to hear Gus talking about "missed opportunities", "have to get better", "see some good things" etc...
