All I see are a bunch of orthodox Jews milling around an open door. I see no signage or person keeping them out.

It was the bread ovens that had them spooked.

It's not even a supermarket.  It's a coffee shop.

You guys really shouldn't make jokes about fascist atrocities. Now please excuse me while I go get my black shirts out of the dryer.

Ukraine's New Offensive is Fueled by Captured Russian Weapons

https://www.wsj.com/articles/ukraines-ne...ticle_pos2

Combined with weapons taken during Russia’s retreat from Kyiv and other parts of northern Ukraine in April, these recent gains have turned Moscow into by far the largest supplier of heavy weapons for Ukraine, well ahead of the U.S. or other allies in sheer numbers, according to open-source intelligence analysts.

Ukraine has captured 460 Russian main battle tanks, 92 self-propelled howitzers, 448 infantry fighting vehicles, 195 armored fighting vehicles and 44 multiple-launch rocket systems, according to visual evidence compiled from social media and news reports from Oryx, an open-source intelligence consulting firm. The real number is likely higher as not every captured piece of equipment gets filmed.

So Putin is complaining about the United States sending weapons to Ukraine, but Russia is their biggest supplier!

Trying to persuade people not to believe what they see with their own eyes and hear with their own ears?

If we can't believe what we see and hear any more, how can we believe anything?  The only evidence we have is what we see and hear.  And yet here we are, expressing our beliefs on this political message board.  I assume those beliefs come from somewhere.

I guess this is where we are as a civilization.  We believe what we want to believe, and reject any evidence that conflicts with our beliefs.

What you see and hear is someone else's determination of WHAT you should see and hear not what really happened.

Isn't it possible that what reporters in Ukraine are showing me is what really happened?  And if not, then how would I decide what really happened?  Or are we doomed to doubt our own eyes and ears, and never reach any conclusion, because someone might be deceiving us?  How do you figure out what really happened, if not from your own eyes and ears?  Do you assume that because someone showed you something, therefore it is not true?  How do you come to a conclusion about anything if you doubt everything you see and hear?  Do you make up your own conclusions out of thin air because you can't believe anything you see and hear?

Here's an example.  Ukraine says they are winning.  Pro-Kremlin, pro-Putin reporters in Russia say Ukraine is winning.  I see endless videos of dead Russian soldiers, bombed out Russian tanks and APCs, and even Russian generals showing maps that reveal the fact that they are retreating.  I hear reporters from all over the world saying that Ukraine is advancing and Russia is retreating.  What conclusion, if any, can I draw from that?  Is Ukraine advancing and Russia retreating?

If I'm supposed to doubt everything I see and hear, is there ever going to be a situation where I have enough evidence to draw a conclusion about anything?

You have the option to believe evidence at your own discretion. With the news media you have plenty of evidence to distrust them.

That's when experience and wisdom serve you well. The thing is, you not only  have to be able filter lies, but uncover what they are leaving out. What are they not telling us... The world has a Wild West feel to it, where anything and everything goes. It's the new Gold Rush but regular folks are not invited... They are raiding the treasury, destroying norms, and actively working to destroy this Republic. Hell, they a'int even hiding it anymore. Who is going to stop them, when the people we hired to stop it are the ones doing it?

No one is going to save the day, they're not suddenly going to stop and start doing right. Its a free for all for the elites.. All we are doing is watching it happen, in real time...

They both lie but with Russia you know it's half truths that are then stretched and embellished. You have out right lies from the MSM and Ukraine PR that has been proven false over and over again but people just believe it as truth.

The MSM has even admitted to making things up and yet you keep going back to it as truthful. Frankly I don't believe anything they say without it being confirmed by outside people.

You have enough information right now to know you don't know what is going on and most people don't. No one truly knows what Russia's goals are. We see them retreating to the territories that voted to join Russia. Ukraine lost lots of men and equipment in order to take territories that had limited value to Russia other than looking embarrassing to retreat. Russia still has the artillery, drones, and bombing advantages.

Does this mean an end to the war? It depends on what Ukraine does. I think Russia is resting right now. Putin has now cleared requirements to bring allies in and create a full war if he wants. If Ukraine attacks the new Russian territories, by law Russia can then flatten them if they choose to. Hopefully that doesn't happen but it seems the West wants it to happen.
